IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
So as you guys know (now), I haven't been updating for a while. I can't really do so because: 1. I just rebooted my computer (again) and 2. That means that everything (yes, EVERYTHING) has been erased.
I finished writing the chapter to Fake Love and Bonds That Shift, but because I wasn't smart enough to upload it first, so now... they're both gone >< I would've done anything to save all my work to share with you guys, but my stupid computer didn't respond that time. I'm really sorry you guys have to wait while I save all my work and refigure out my ideas and what not. I hope you guys understand (if you read this that is) ><
I'm really sorry guys! Please wait for the next update....whenever it is.

Bonds That Shift
Chapter 7
The sun arose, its rosy fingers gently sweeping over the dark hazy skies. It shined through the dull glass windows paved in the wooden cabins, reaching delicately onto two occupants’ eyelids. Only one awoke to the beaming light—the other just shifted away from the bright glare and mumbled some incoherent words, hugging the man sitting up amid the blankets.
Said man yawned slightly from the little sleep he got, staring down at the pale arms that encircled his bare waist. His dark eyes traveled up those smooth long limbs to that sensitive neck, finally stopping at Jaejoong’s flawless face. The boy’s lips were still stained a deadly red from gnawing on it to prevent himself from crying, and his eyes were still swollen from the saline tears.
Yunho sighed heavily, unaware that his hand reached over to comb Jaejoong’s hair. The cold air quickly reminded Yunho to pull away and he reluctantly did so, shivering when he remembered that he lacked clothing.
The bed lifted with a creak as he got up and put on the nearest shirt, heading out the door. Jaejoong got up soon after, with his eyes blinking rapidly to flicker away remnants of sleep. He was still groggy, and his memories of the previous night were blurry. He knew of his parents’ death, yes, but he forgot how he ended on Yunho’s bunk.
“Jaejoong-hyung?”
He heard a voice calling his name from outside the cabin. The door creaked open slightly, and Changmin peeked in, smiling as soon as he saw his hyung up. He closed the door quietly and sat down next to Jaejoong, shaking him slightly to make sure he was awake.
“I’m really sorry, hyung,” he said softly.
Changmin was a bit worried when Jaejoong gave no reply, but amazingly, a smile was painted on his face. No, it wasn’t fake. Changmin knows Jae far too well. But no matter how many years he’s been with Jaejoong hyung, and no matter how many smiles covered his face in the worst times, this was… rare.
“It’s alright, Changmin. I.. I already accepted it. I’ll mourn for them, but there’s no point to dwell in the past, right?”
And with that, a huge burden was lifted off of Jaejoong’s chest. He was surprised at his own self-confidence and he thought of himself as crazy when he heard those words come out of his mouth. There’s still an unbearable pain pulling at his chest, and tears still threatened to come out, but somehow, something made it all better. It was like there was a voice—a deeper one—soothing him and saying that everything will be alright. And strangely enough, he trusted that voice.
Changmin pulled Jaejoong into a friendly hug.
“I’m glad. Did Yunho make it all better?”
That’s when realization hit him. That comforting voice was Yunho’s. As he went to sleep, it was Yunho that repeated reassuring words to him, hugging him tightly to his naked chest. Jaejoong’s face grew hot as he thought of the previous night, feeling slightly impure by his actions..
I slept with the enemy, he told himself.
Changmin raised an eyebrow as he examined Jaejoong’s ruddy cheeks. He himself knew what the cause of that was. After all, he and Keita were their roommates. After coming back from their hike, they were met with two bodies lying together on Yunho’s bed. Because they didn’t want to disturb the moment, both decided to sneak over to Junsu and Yoochun’s cabin.
“What’d Yunho do this time?” he smirked.
“It’s not what he did,” Jaejoong mumbled, when he remembered his own body snuggling up to Yunho’s. “It’s what I did.”
Changmin still didn't understand.
“My god... I slept with Yunho.”
“You WHAT?!?!”
Changmin knew that they were lying on the same bed, but he didn’t think they would take it that far.
“NO, not in that way. I mean, I slept on the same bed as him. Not… the other thing.”
“Oh… yeah… That’s what I was surprised about.” He mumbled, humiliated at his sudden outburst.
“Yeah…” Jaejoong muttered back, his own face growing redder from the misunderstanding.
“So… how was it?”
“… What’s that supposed to mean?”
Changmin shrugged.
“I don’t know. I’m just asking what happened.”
“I came to him crying, he comforted me, and I was scared so I slept in his bed. Okay? Sheesh.”
“Then if he helped you… shouldn’t you at least say ‘Thank you’?”
Scene Change
“Yeah, I know.” “So, you still holdin’ that party after this, Yunho?” “Of course! You guys are coming, right?” “Hell yeah. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
The group laughed cheerfully, and Jaejoong felt uncomfortable trying to pull Yunho away from the conversation. When he was a few steps away, he paused to contemplate this further. Nope. This is not worth it. This is not worth my embarrassment. Satisfied with himself, he then turned around to leave. Just as he was however, Changmin whispered “Go” to him, and he knew he couldn't back down. Jaejoong stared at the strong, lean back in front of him and breathing deeply, tapped on the man's shoulder.
As soon as those eyes were directed on him, he couldn’t help but feel awkward. Knowing that Yunho slept shirtless with him caused Jaejoong to blush heavily, and it didn’t help having the man standing right in front of him either.
“You guys go first, Jaejoong needs something.”
Thank god I don’t have to say this in front of anyone else, he said to himself appreciatively.
His classmates nodded to Yunho and went about their way, leaving Jaejoong alone with Yunho. As they stared at each other, waiting for the other to say something, the silent air around them grew dense, and time seemed to be longer than it truly was.
“Ummm… I… I just wanted to say thanks for last night,” Jaejoong muttered, turning his head away to hide his blush.
“Yeah… i—it’s nothing.”
“No, I really mean it. Thanks.” He turned back to give a smile to Yunho; a real one. And the latter was speechless.
He looks beautiful when he smiles.
“I need to go…”
He held out his arms for a hug, but resorted to a clumsy handshake instead. Yunho took it, offering Jaejoong a smile of his own.
His mask is gone…
As Jae turned back towards the cabin, he couldn’t get that smile out of his head. He spent months trying to catch a glimpse of the true Yunho. Was he a step closer? Is they still rivals?
“Hey, Joongie!”
He just had to ruin it with the name.
“What?” he replied, annoyed that their relationship was back to where it’s always been.
“Wanna come to my party after camp? Today’s the last day, anyways.”
Then again, maybe some things changed after all.
Scene Change
Camp was over. Finally over. So many things happened there… Changmin and Keita got together, Yoochun and Junsu were staying together, and he grew a bit closer to everyone. Sure, there were some down sides to it. But he can live with his parent’s death as long as that voice in the back of his head still reassured him.
As for Yunho… he felt… something more for him. It’s the same feeling he has for his childhood friend. Not really friendship. Something... greater. Jaejoong had no idea what the feeling was, but it started to annoy him. Because with that emotion, he gets aggravating symptoms whenever Yunho was around. He blushes, his stomach lurches, his heart beats rapidly, and the room suddenly grows oppressive. The symptoms irritated him to a point where he had to search online and ask his Changmin—that good old genius. But they both gave him the same answer.
“You’re in love.”
In love? With Yunho? That’s… impossible.
It wasn’t the thought of being in love with a guy that bothered him. Rather, it was being in love with that… arrogant jerk. Well, maybe not so arrogant anymore. But still, he was in love with a jerk.
I don’t like Yunho. I’ll prove Changmin and the computer wrong.
Scene Change
It was the night of the party, and Jaejoong stood in front of his neighbor’s house, contemplating whether or not to actually go in. After all, he’s never been to one of Yunho’s party before. Everyone’s been invited except him, and now… he’s actually here. He didn’t exactly feel honored…actually, he felt that he lost some pride now that he’s standing in front of his (ex)rival’s door.
He spent the last half hour rummaging through his closet, looking for an outfit that would suit his (and Yunho’s) taste. After finally settling for ripped jeans with a fitting T-shirt, he dragged himself over to Yunho’s house. Jaejoong considered it over and over, pacing back and forth on the doorstep. Other students stared at him weirdly while they walked in, but Jaejoong ignored it, finally mustering up the courage to walk in himself.
“Hey! Look who’s here!” He was greeted by the host of the party, his heart beating rapidly as Yunho approached him. He walked up to him, noticeable despite the hundreds of people around him. With a somewhat unbuttoned dress shirt and jeans that rode low on his hips, he shone throughout the crowd like a god.
Jaejoong felt his knees grow weak, and he almost collapsed onto the floor, but Yunho caught him just in time.
Dammit. I think I do like him.
“You okay?”
His stomach and wrists burned where Yunho just touched, and the man’s proximity caused Jaejoong’s heart to beat faster and faster, as if it might beat out of his chest.
“Y-yeah… it’s just the heat.”
“Why don’t you sit down?”
He followed Yunho over to the table, recognizing some of the people sitting down with them. They were the ones that first hung out with Jaejoong when he was “popular”, only to discard him just as fast when Yunho came along. He was hoping his own friends would be here, but they were out on a double date. Yoochun told him he’d be coming late though, so at least he has someone to converse with.
Jaejoong heard Yunho start talking with the group and diverted his attention elsewhere. He watched as bodies danced in front of him to the blaring music, moving in the dim light. There were students in one corner of the room conversing just like they were, and in the other corner, some students were making out. But surprisingly, there was no stench of alcohol or smoke like typical parties.
“Hey, Jaejoong.” a guy who referred to himself as Se7en called out.
“You look thirsty. Here.”
Se7en secretly dropped a small white tablet into the fruit punch and swirled it around a bit, making sure it dissolved fully. After receiving the drink, Jaejoong gulped the whole thing down, directing his attention back to the dancing crowd in front of him.
After several minutes passed, Jaejoong started feeling a bit dizzy.
“Joongie? Are you alright?” Yunho asked him, concerned when he started seeing Jaejoong’s body swerve a bit. He seemed as if he was drunk, but that was impossible. There was no alcohol here.
“Y-yeah… I—I’m fine…” His speech grew slurred, and he patted Yunho on the back to reassure him; confused when his hand met air instead.
“Uhh… Jaejoong, I’m over here.”
Jaejoong shook his head rapidly, feeling painful twinge to his head somewhere. The air made him nauseous, and he couldn’t concentrate on Yunho’s words. He finally passed out onto Yunho’s shoulder.
“He’s finally out,” Se7en muttered.
Yunho glared at him. He had no idea what the man did, but he knew he had something to do with it.
“What the fuck did you do to him?!?!”
“Nothing,” the man said, surprised at Yunho’s outburst. “I just slipped a rophy in his drink. It’ll be good for blackmailing since you hate him and all.”
He shot up and grabbed Se7en’s collar, almost choking him as he glared at him threateningly.
“Rophies?! You gave him fucking ROHYPNOL?!?! What the fuck is WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!”
Yunho was about to punch him in the stomach but Siwon and Kangin held him, preventing him from ripping the man’s guts out.
“Hey! Yunho! Stop! Deal with Se7en later. Do something with Jaejoong here,” Siwon said, pointing to the man asleep on the couch.
With no hesitation, Yunho pulled Jaejoong up to his chest, carrying him through the busy crowd like a captain does to a wounded soldier. After making it out of his own house, he walked over to Jaejoong’s, only to find it locked.
“Fuck…” he mumbled as he kicked at the door, shifting Jaejoong’s weight between his arms. He headed back, laying Jaejoong on the nearby sofa and switching on the lights. After standing up on the table, he pulled the plug to the music, hearing some discontented groans from the crowd.
“Sorry guys! PARTY’S OVER!!” And with that, he ushered everyone out of the house until it was only him and Jaejoong. He put his arms under Jae’s shoulders and knees and carried him up the stairs, placing him on his bed.
At that moment, the moonlight seemed to strike perfectly onto Jaejoong’s face, accenting his pretty features. Yunho was about to leave the room, but the sight was so breathtaking he couldn’t bring himself to leave.
He climbed onto the bed and pinned Jae’s unconscious body down, his left hand reaching to play with the silky hair, dropping down to outline his velvet lips.
“This is all your fault…”
And with that, his lips replaced that finger, pressing firmly onto Jae’s own. Yunho basked in the boy’s sweet taste, sweeping his tongue over the bottom lip to draw in that tantalizing flavor and burn it into his memory. After several seconds passed, he broke off almost unwillingly, sliding off the bed. As he walked to the door, he turned back momentarily to catch sight of the sleeping beauty, softly turning off the lights and making his way out the door.
Outside, Yoochun’s voice stopped him in his tracks.
“So what Changmin said was true… You really do like Jaejoong.” A/N: Sorry, guys. I couldn't reply to your comments for Fake Love. >< And I finally made the deadline! Over here, it's Saturday, so technically, it's not the end of the week yet ;D I'll reply to your comments as soon as I can. But for now, sweet dreams! xD Oh, and sorry for the lame banner. Ahahaha. Title: Fake Love Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. Pairings: Jaeho, Yoosu, hints of Keimin Genre: Romance, Drama, Slight angst Summary: Yunho gets paired up with Kim Jaejoong in a school project. He finds out that his hideous classmate is actually a gorgeous beauty in disguise due to an incident in his past. Yunho then "pretends" to go out with him, falling for him while he's at it. What happens when they think their love is fake? And when Jaejoong's past starts to arise once more? by the lovely prettyfingers85 :D
Fake Love Chapter 12
Yunho’s POV Choi Dongwook… How many times did that bitch make Jaejoong cry? That time when I went to visit Jaejoong at his house; when I saw how broken down he was… I knew I would never be able to forgive such a person.. Jae was dead. His eyes were blank; empty. Do you know how hard it was for life to glisten in those eyes again? Do you know the difficulty in getting Jaejoong to smile as beautifully as he does now? He’s beautiful and delicate, and it’s amazing how a fragile person was able to go through such misfortunes. He’s everything to me now… Though I wasn’t there to protect his heart from being broken, I’ll always be the one to pick up the pieces and reassemble the brittle shards. But as easy as that sounds, old scars don’t fade. They’re just masked by the busy events that pass by. I learned that when I heard such a spiteful name come from my best friend’s lips. I learned it when I felt Jaejoong’s body turn pale and rigid. I couldn’t do anything. After all, what could I do at that moment? I just gripped Jae’s hands harder, as if I knew what I was doing. “Is… something wrong?” Micky was concerned when he saw me and Jae go silent. “Oh no, everything’s just perfectly fine,” I muttered bitterly, not masking the sarcasm dripping from my response. I could tell that Jae wanted to run away from this mess; to escape nightmares that will return and haunt him again... How he shifted his feet restlessly showed it all. I pulled him back into my chest and held him to prevent him from running. I wanted him to know that he didn’t need to escape now that I was here. Those big dark eyes stared at me questioningly, all hint of panic drowned in the black shadows. Half-smiling back, I hugged him tighter. I hope he can’t tell how helpless I actually am… Yoochun’s POV I was a bit worried when I saw Yunho’s and Jae’s reaction. I think they know my brother. It’s not like I ever treated him as such, anyways. Dongwook… he’s too superficial and vain. Always judging a book by its cover, you know what I mean? Wait… it can’t be. Is Dongwook the guy that hurt Jaejoong? Yunho told me everything; everything but the name of the man who hurt him. Well, brother or not, I won’t forgive him for hurting Jae. Our table was silent. I could see Changmin and Junsu looking towards me for answers, but I mouthed that I’ll tell them later. It’s best not to ask further, since the subject still appears to be delicate. Yunho, I’m counting on you to help Jaejoong when Dongwook’s here. I don’t know much about the situation myself, but I’ll be here to help you guys every step of the way… Scene Change “What’s wrong hyung?” Yoochun turned from the retreating back of his two friends to Changmin and Junsu, the pair both holding an intense look of worry on their face. After the prolonged silence in their previous conversation, Yoochun dragged Jae to the nurse’s office in concern of the boy’s reactions. Junsu and Changmin were confused, but said nothing when Yoochun nodded at his other friends’ request to leave. Sighing, the copper-haired man looked to the two of them, thinking it was best not to leave them out in the dark any longer. “Jaejoong… he…he had a bad past.” A warm hand grabbed his, Yoochun unaware that his hands were trembling slightly. He turned to the source of warmth, finding Junsu stare up at him anxiously and urging him to continue. “I know you guys know of Jaejoong’s looks. Turns out that it’s the cause of everything. He gets taken advantaged of just for his physical appearance, and my cousin—I assume—is the source of all his pain. Sorry that I can’t explain further. You’re just… gonna have to ask Yunho or Jae personally.” The table grew silent once again, the only sound coming from the ruckus and loud conversations from the nearby students. They all couldn’t express in words how vulnerable they felt in trying to help their new friend, but the three knew that they’ll try their best to protect Jaejoong no matter what. “So much for Mission Jaeho aka Yunjae,” Changmin muttered under his breath. Laughing slightly, Junsu patted him on the back. “Let’s think of it this way, Minnie. Yunho can sort out his feelings easier now that a new rival for love appeared. He wouldn’t give Jaejoong up to someone like him, would he?” Recovered from their previous depressed state, the three shared a mischievous cackle, but was soon interrupted by a small female voice. “Changmin… can we talk to you?” Two girls caused them to stop their laughter, and they were surprised to find out who the pair actually was. There they were, Seulgi’s minions standing in front of the center table in the midst of all the other students. And for once, they didn’t look devious as they appeared. “Ayumi, Stephanie… where’s your other evil triplet?” Changmin hit Yoochun by the back of his hand to inform him to shut up, the latter whining and immediately seeking comfort in his boyfriend who just rubbed his shoulder gently. The girls were a bit surprised at the loving gesture, but were forced to stare up childish fascination as Changmin approached them. Since when had the youngest of the group been this manipulative and intimidating? Their feet kept shifting, both having a sudden urge to forget about this incident and run for their lives, but Changmin’s voice compelled them to stop. “If you have something to say, then say it in front of all of us. I see no point in having to call someone out.” Ayumi and Stephanie shared at sheepish look, growing uncomfortable to the boy’s pressure. “Well… you see,” Stephanie started. “It’s about Choi Dongwook. I assume you know him?” The boys’ ears perked up at the name, but they all put on an apathetic mask, listening intently nonetheless. “I’m listening…” “Dongwook and Seulgi are teaming up to get their exes back,” Ayumi blurted out. The couple in the back looked on with shock, but the surprise on Changmin’s face was painted with an unusual somber emotion. “And why are you telling us this? Aren’t you Seulgi’s friends?” “She doesn’t know we’re telling you… We may be her friends, but we really think Yunho and Jaejoong deserve each other.” Ayumi said while looking at Stephanie nervously, becoming a bit skeptic of whether they should explain any longer. The way Changmin stared on at them scared her, his eyes glimmering maturely as if he knew everything about them. Yoochun slapped Changmin on the shoulder as if he was trying to tell him “Stop scaring them! I think they’re telling the truth!” but Changmin just ignored the message and stepped closer, his mismatched eyes growing serious. “I don’t believe you. Where’s the proof?” “We don’t have any…” “Then get out of my sight. I’ll trust you when I see some.” Changmin heard a small “at least we tried” come from Stephanie, and watched as the girls turned and walked away dejectedly. As soon as they were lost within the crowd, he headed towards his next class before the bell could ring, Junsu and Yoochun tagging along behind him. “MINNIE! Why don’t you trust them?!?!” a dolphin-like voice on his left shouted. “I do, but I’ll learn more later. I know they’ll still work hard to keep Seulgi away, so they’ll eventually come back with more information. For now, I’ll just get Keita to investigate with me.” They said nothing further, knowing far better than to argue with the younger’s intelligent mind. As their footsteps resonated in the hallway, they both made a silent resolution to themselves: Help Jaejoong as much as they can. Scene Change The clicking of a door rang throughout the empty room and Yunho directed it to Jaejoong who stared blankly at the wall in front of him. The white dress shirt was rumpled and hanging limply off his body, and the loose black tie emphasized the dullness of his dark eyes. Seeing Jae’s condition made Yunho want to drop to his knees and beg the boy to speak; to respond. But despite his state, he was still as beautiful as ever. So fragile, but so beautiful nonetheless. “Jaejoong, please…” Yunho headed towards the boy, pushing the small metal tray full of band-aids and alcohol pads away as he sat down with Jaejoong on the cot. The boy was a gripping a small stethoscope, fiddling with it and oblivious to the other’s concerned gaze. After learning that Jaejoong’s past came back to haunt him, Yunho immediately took him away. He racked his brain for a suitable place, but decided to take refuge in the nurse’s office. Clang! The sound of metal hitting the linoleum was emitted by the doctor’s paraphernalia, the stethoscope clattering against the floor and cutting through the dense stillness. “Jae?” Yunho asked, startled by the sudden action. Jaejoong’s body turned suddenly and he tackled the taller into a hug, the unanticipated force pushing the man down onto the cot. The other’s arms reflexively wrapped around Jaejoong’s waist. Outside, the sound of a muffled bell rang, but they took no heed. He heard nothing at first, only feeling Jaejoong’s chest as it pulsed up and down from his breathing. But an airy whisper soon swept across the air, accompanying the footsteps behind the door. It echoed softly, as if it was never meant to be heard in the first place. “I trust you…” was all he said. Yunho almost imagined it to be something else, but those words—though flattering—was slightly unnerving. What if it was wrong to trust him? After all, what could he do in this situation? He didn’t even find out who ruined Jaejoong’s property a while ago. It might have been nothing, sure… but Jung Yunho didn’t like to lose to anything. He never liked riddles as a child, and this endless maze of possibilities were the last thing to enter his mind. Now, he matured a bit, throwing away the old him that ridiculed Jaejoong’s fake features before. That almost seemed to be the death of him… “Jaejoong…” Yunho had no clue as to how to respond; just spouting the other’s name as if it would do some better. He heard some light sobs and his warm hands reached down gently, tilting up Jaejoong’s chin to see the crying face. Despite the slightly puffy eyes and the tears streaming down his cheeks, the soft sunlight shined through his ruffled hair, making an ethereal glow surround him. Yunho’s breath hitched as the boy stared into his eyes, and he instinctively bent down to kiss him softly on the cheek. Beautiful… An angel. He’s my fallen angel… They stayed there for a while, unaware of the dark aura leaking through the gaps of the door… Scene Change; Yoochun’s POV “Not here again…” I whispered to myself while looking over to Yunho and Jaejoong’s desks. Well, it was a good day to miss school anyways. The teacher just assigned us another project. Guess who was my partner? No, really. Guess. Still didn’t get it, huh? It was Bae Seulgi out of all people. The girl’s really dumber than she looks. I was the one who had to do all the work for the assignment. She just sat there… filing her nails. When the time came that she actually had the intention to do something, the class was nearly over. Gosh... where's Susu when you need him? “Can you get me my hairbrush? Left side, front pocket.” Her screechy voice made me wince, and I reached over for her purse, sifting through all her non-school utensils. Nail polish? Nope. Not it. Perfume? No… that’s not it. A lighter? Nope. Wait… hold on. A lighter? What would a girl be doing with a lighter of all things? I knew she didn’t smoke—I know, big surprise for someone like her. She has my respect for that much. I just ignored the lighter, and probed through further. And then I cut my finger. Turns out she had a knife in there too. I yanked my hand away quickly and examined the bleeding wound on my index finger. The knife was dirty. There were small wood shavings and a bit of plastic clinging to the incision on my finger. Suspicious… I would’ve thrown the purse to the ground but Seul gi was writing down the equations from the book down onto our assignment paper, tapping her foot impatiently. Sighing, I reached in with my other uninjured hand, going through her purse to look for that damned hairbrush. But seriously… a lighter and a knife. Why does she need those out of all things? She doesn’t cut or burn herself for all I know, so why? Then it hit me. That incident a while ago—the one where Jaejoong’s properties were burnt to the ground. It’s not so much of a surprise, but it’s her that was behind that crime. “Find it yet?” When I lifted my head, she raised her sharp eyebrows at me and I hurried to search for the brush, remembering to avoid the jagged edges of the blade. “Here,” I muttered to her then excused myself from the classroom. I ditched class for the rest of the day, not wanting to face her… or anybody, actually. I took refuge in the deserted music room and laid across the piano bench, staring into the pitch black ceiling. I had three options to choose from: to pretend I didn’t know about it, inform a teacher, or tell Yunho that I finally found out who the culprit was. Each had its own faults. If I pretended not to know about it, then guilt would gnaw at the back of my head. Informing a teacher violates the student code: No tattling whatsoever. And come on… do I look like a wimp to you? Don’t answer that. As for the third alternative, that’d probably be the last thing I’d do. Hey, no dirty looks here. As much as I care for Yunho and Jae, I can’t tell them. Not now… They have too much on their hands. They can’t even deal with their own feelings and already, a rival in love came—my stepbrother. Then Yunho has to deal with his family; whether or not to take over the company or not. Don’t think of me as a bad friend for not telling them. Think of me as a better friend for helping them… in a way. So I made up my mind. I’ll just keep it to myself. Maybe, just maybe I’ll tell Junsu and Changmin, but for now, it’s just something I’ll keep silent. I’ll make Seulgi’s life a living hell… Scene Change “Got it?” A female voice rang through the hall, the woman’s devilish lips curling evilly as she spoke to the man in front of her. “Yeah... almost there.” He was sprawled on the carpeted floor with two pieces of paper by his side. One of Yunho’s handwritten essays which he stole from the teacher, and one he was currently writing on. His brows furrowed as he concentrated on his writing, making sure to mimic every bit of Yunho’s writing: the spaces, writing pressure, and even the angle of the words. And using the essay, he chose the characters needed and transferred them to another sheet, piecing them together into the bitter words they wanted. Dongwook shook his hand free from the writing cramp, and stood up to brush himself off. “Finished,” he said bluntly, searching through the school halls to find Jaejoong’s locker. Once he did, that bitter letter disappeared. A/N: Sorry about that guys. ._. I forgot about the fic for a while ^^; But yes, it's finally up! xD And slightly revised! There are only 2 chapters left to Fake Love :O I hope you guys enjoyed the story so far. Bonds That Shift will be updated sometime this week. ;D Enjoy!

As they get along with school, a small rivalry sprouts between them. But then... just who is this Yunho? by the lovely prettyfingers85
Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 6::.. Changmin’s POV Wow… what a day. I was called out today by the famous Mr. Jung, and through that, I found out everything. Well… almost. Anyways… he’s actually a pretty cool guy, even though—I think—he faked it in the first place. He’s definitely not mean, but I certainly never knew he secretly hated several students here. We actually became good friends, and a couple minutes go, he invited me to go to the mountains with his class. While thinking, I couldn’t help but deeply sniff in the cold air of the winter breeze as it cleansed me; relieving me of my aches and pains. After all, it wasn’t that easy trying to get so much information out of the man. Even I started getting a little tired of looking for Jaejoong ever few seconds in order to annoy the heck out of Yunho. Micky didn’t help much either. All he did was mope about his boyfriend—he finally mustered up the courage to arrange a meeting with his ex so they can speak; probably the smartest thing he ever did. Turns out that several of his old girlfriends worked at the restaurant they met up at. The whole day ended off with an all-out brawl and a slap on the face from each girl… and Junsu. Ouch. I became lost in my thoughts as I tried to piece, bit by bit, all of the data I received from the collision during lunch. Yes, Yunho is indeed Jae’s childhood friend. I know that much, at least. But why go through all that trouble for Jae? Why fake everything over just a family note? Can’t he just say “Honey, I’m home!” or something else to make Jae aware of the fact that he never forgot him in the first place? If I know Joongie, he’d accept Yunho’s arrival with open arms. I really need to ask him about this whole incident later on… Just because he li— “Changmin! Wait up!” (A/N: Yes, yes… I’m aware that there are too many interruptions in this fic. Why? Because I can’t have the readers know the true story yet ;D You’re just gonna have to find out along with Jae.) Well, we’ll continue this later on. I didn’t bother turn around, because I could hear Jaejoong’s footsteps getting louder and louder as he approached me. When his hand met my shoulder to pull me back from walking on, I couldn’t help but smile back at him. “What’s up, hyung?” I suppose it was too early to ask, because he was still panting from chasing after me. I was distracted by the moist air coming from his mouth and puffing in little clouds until he finally caught his breath, answering, “Minnie, wanna come to the mountains with me? My class won the week-long trip!” I was about to exclaim ‘Yes’ happily, but bit it back when I remembered that Yunho already invited me himself. I felt sorry for Jae-hyung… his eyes lit up brightly like a child’s after receiving candy. I replied back with as sympathetically as I can, “I’m sorry hyung, but Yunho already asked me. But can you do me a favor and ask Keita to come along?” Hey, I needed someone from my class to keep me company while the other four have their little lover spats. Besides, he’s my only friend outside of the upperclassmen. Remorse started to prick me when I saw Jaejoong’s neglected face, but it was quickly replaced with surprise when the head immediately lifted.
“Wait… Yunho asked you?” Oh boy… he’s getting suspicious… “You guys became awfully friendly after that conversation during lunch. Didn’t you hate him just as much as I did?” I didn’t really want to answer, because I might blurt out what Yunho really said. Of course, it would be the easiest way to get them both together, but it’s too risky. While I stared down at my feet in order to conjure up some reasonable answer, I saw Jae’s own tapping impatiently against the concrete ground. “Well… we made a little compromise. I never hated him, anyways. I was just sorta… apathetic, I guess. Then we just started talking a bit, and I found out we had some things in common, that’s all.” Jaejoong’s dark eyes pierced right through mine, and I felt myself shift nervously because of that intense gaze. Beads of sweat actually formed on my skin, but I turned away just before he noticed. He muttered, “Fine then. Whatever… I’ll go look for Keita or something.” His slender back turned away and walked back inside the school. When he finally disappeared, I whooped silently from relief, heading back home to pack my bags. I couldn’t wait for tomorrow. Scene Change; Jaejoong’s POV “Line up! I’m separating you guys into cabins!” As I walked behind Keita, I weaved through the crowd in order to catch a glimpse of our new home for the next week. Wow… our school’s richer than I thought. There’s clean water, showers… even electricity! Amazing. Though the cabins seem slightly rundown, just from looking at them, I could almost feel how cozy it must be. “Pay attention, Joongie.” A hand slapped the back of my head, causing me to flinch in pain from the impact. “Ow! Stop i—“ I couldn’t finish because Changmin stood next to that jerk, smiling at me widely as if he was anticipating the unsaid words. Yunho held a smug grin on his face that I so badly wanted to wipe off since I had a feeling the guy knew I was helpless. I couldn’t hurt or taunt Changmin’s “friend”, so I just had to rub my aching head, glaring while Yunho’s dumb smirk grew. Secretly… inside, I was jealous. YES! I admit it, okay?! I’m jealous. No, I wasn’t jealous of Yunho for spending time with my friend… A bit ironic, but I was jealous of Changmin for hanging out with him. I tried to deny it; I really did, but when I see those two together, my heart starts hurting for some unknown reason. I know…I’m crazy. “Remember, you and the friend you invited to come are sharing a cabin. And since there are four beds each, you’re rooming with a classmate and their own partner. Turn around to see the pair behind you.” I did as the teacher said, sneering at the sight of Yunho's face. “Good news! They’re your roommates.” My hands were clasped over my ears, but even that couldn’t prepare me for the wretched females’ inconsistent shrieks. Yunho’s fangirls screamed as they pushed each other roughly, elbowing other girls in order to stand in the back of him. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when I saw Yunho’s indifferent face as the women fawned over him. After all, wasn’t he a playboy in the beginning of the school year? “Girls, don’t make a fuss. I hope you ladies know you can only share cabins with the same gender.” My teacher’s monotonous tone made me laugh even harder. I knew he would be my favorite teacher from the start.
“Keita and Jaejoong; Changmin and Yunho. You guys are in Cabin 3.”
Then again… I never liked his ways of organizing events. Scene Change There were two bunk beds in the cabin. Since Changmin wanted to talk with Keita at night, I was forced to bunk with Yunho. You could just see me running to the top bunk first, stealing it while he had to resort to the bottom bed. I can’t wait to see how camp comes along… Day 1: The class took a hike up to the top of the mountain today... The teacher said “It’s good for your health and building relationships.” Well, it doesn’t seem so, seeing as how Micky and Junsu walked in front of us, arguing as usual. Changmin and Keita were hiking slowly in the back, discussing some technological things. And Yunho? He walked beside me. Every single step I took, I could hear his voice taunt me and say I was going to lose my balance and fall of the mountain. I actually did stumble once or twice, but ironically, he held me and helped me get back on foot. I could still feel where my skin was hotly singed from his touches. Whether it stung from disgust or not, I don’t know—even so, it was plaguing my mind the rest of the trek. By the time we got to our destination, the sun was about to set. The class had a small picnic as we watched it go down, blazing pinks and warm orange hues streaking across the top. Yunho sat next to me, slightly leaning towards me even with his eyes focused on the sun. It didn’t matter I guess, because I did the same. When the sun finally disappeared with only the bright highlights marking its departure, we stood up, heading back to the cabins. Everyone went to sleep, but I decided to stay up to send a postcards to my parents—I believe they’re in Europe right now. However, it got hard to do so with Yunho’s aromatic shampoo wafting up to my bunk from his shower. Cinnamon… Day 2: Kayaking was fun. I teamed up with Junsu while Micky and Yunho got into a canoe of their own. We spent the first hour competing against each other, but our teammates got tired, leaving us to go on by ourselves. I don’t know what propelled me not to lose against him, but I strained all my muscles today, even further with Junsu’s oppressive weight holding me back. What does he eat?!?! Anyways, I think we took more than thirty laps around the entire lake. We never found out who won because the teacher called us in. Even though we both refused to, he came rowing out himself, tipping our kayaks over. Secretly, I was glad it was over. The sweat clinging to my skin was uncomfortable, and the mosquitoes were out and biting. But as much as I wanted it to be done with, I actually wanted to stay out longer, even with my aching muscles. It was the first time I saw Yunho smile around me… Who knew he could smile? Oh yeah, where are Changmin and Keita? I guessed the cafeteria or something, but I was too tired to check. First, I’m heading to the shower to get rid of the scent of the dirty lake. Maybe I’ll steal Yunho’s shampoo while I’m at it…
Day 2 Scene Change “Changmin?” “Yeah?” Since we both grew sick of Yunho and Jaejoong’s endless competitions, we decided to hike back up to the mountains. Tiring I guess you can say, but it’s way better than overexerting ourselves in their childish contests. Besides… it felt good to be away from everything. There was just me, Keita, the incessant chirping of the birds, and the biting wind. “Do y—“ “Hmm?” “Are you really going out with Jaejoong?” Keita’s question surprised me. After all, Keita and I were practically the same. We took in interest in relationships whatsoever. Imagine an isolated computer whiz asking about a common rumor traveling around the school. “Nope. Not at all. Why?” I failed to notice that Keita stopped walking so by the time I turned around, he was several feet away from me. “Keita? Is something wrong?” I could see different emotions play on his face. His mouth kept on opening and closing, as if he was conflicting on what to say. “I… I like you!” I was shocked, but not as much as he was of his own sudden outburst. His usually pale skin was flushed a rosy tinge, and his hands covered his mouth as though he tried to suppress any other words. Before I could respond to Keita’s words, he ran down towards the cabin. His rushing footsteps put me into a panic, scared that he might trip and fall. I chased after him, finally grabbing a hold of his wrist. “Keita…” “I’m sorry, Changmin! I just… I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I like you! I really do! I was just scared that you were going to be repulsed by me...” His voice was attached to broken sobs, and I couldn’t help but pull him into a hug. “I’m so sorry… I told myself it was wrong, but my inner self couldn’t listen. You were the only that talked to me when I came to Korea. I was an exchange student from Japan and everyone just steered clear of me… But you actually talked to me and made me smile.” I could barely hear his words that were bathed in endless sniffles and gasps for air, but I felt touched. “Keita… I’ll go out with you.” Don’t think I’m going out with him just for sympathy. No… it’s just… I still don’t know what “love” is. I pretend to know about it, but I don’t understand from experience at all. I hope to learn from being with Keita… “Thank you, Changmin,” he replied with a big teary smile, and I could feel my heart fluttering slightly. Maybe this “love” thing isn’t as complex as I thought. Day 3: Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. We stayed inside the cafeteria all day until the rain stopped. Bad idea. It’s not as though the class doesn’t fit, but my head throbbed from the loud echoes of the students that flew up into the room. I sat with Yunho next to Changmin and Keita who were hugging each other tightly. Looks like someone found a boyfriend. Me? I’m single and grumpy. Yes, I’m aware that a lot of the women at this school would squeal at the thought of going out with me. But the last thing I want to deal with right now is the squealing female race. It’s already bad that they’d faint at the sight of any hot guy, but to fangirl around Yunho? No thanks. As much as I wanted to drown myself in my own thoughts, some rumors floated around through the cafeteria, spread through several classmates—most likely girls. I didn’t catch much, but I heard the part about Changmin dumping me in order to go out with Keita. There were also few rumors about me dumping him to go out with Yunho. Tch… yeah… That’s likely. Of course it wouldn’t be. We’re not the ones with our arms around each other, cuddling. I tried looking for Micky and Junsu, but they were all the way on the other side of the room, leaving me to converse with Yunho. It was actually pretty fun… Maybe he’s not that bad… Day 3 Scene Change “I’m fed up with this, Micky!” Junsu said as he turned around to face him, irritated and seething. “What?! What did I ever do?!” The other retaliated with equal annoyance, growling at the other’s sudden change in moods. Lately, it’s always been as if he’s the one doing something wrong, and Junsu always had to point out his flaws. They went out again during camp, but their relationship was off with a rocky start—or middle… or end. Something like that. “I’m sick of your playboy attitude! I really love you, do you know that? But you… you just flirt with other girls and think nothing of it.” Yoochun saw the other's betrayed face, and for the first time, he felt a bit of remorse for his actions. “I always break up with you because of this, but I always want to get back with you because I can’t stand it! I can’t stand being apart. But you’re always just making this so hard for me!” Junsu would’ve turned to slap him out of anger, but that raised hand just rubbed the back of his head in frustration instead. “You know what?! Fine. Just… just have fun with another girlfriend of yours for all I care. Go ahead. You have your choice of any girl in this cafeteria.” Junsu’s heart wrenched tightly when Micky scanned all the faces in the cafeteria, his gaze finally dropping on the downcast boy in front of him. With no hesitation, he pulled Junsu in towards his body by the waist, locking his lips with Junsu’s tear-drenched ones. He let go softly, and Junsu tried to regain his balance from the kiss, silently cursing his knees for growing so weak due to Micky’s talented tongue. “You,” he whispered. “I pick you.” Day 4: The rain finally let up today, and the sun was just barely peeking through the nacreous clouds. Since the ground was still wet, our class walked to a nearby reservation center nearby and stayed there for a while. Micky came up to me along the way, saying that his relationship with Junsu was finally progressing. Gosh, it looks like everyone’s pairing up this camp. Kibum and Donghae in Cabin 1, Micky and Junsu in Cabin 2, and Changmin and Keita in ours. Not to mention the countless other couples in Cabin 4 – 15. Maybe I should hook up with Yunho or something. ... No, that’s sarcasm. If it was my childhood friend then sure, I’ll go out with him. But Yunho, whoever he might be, is a jerk. Since there is just so much time on my hands, I’m spending it writing another postcard to my parents. I hope they get it.
Day 5 My teacher came up to me this afternoon, holding his cellphone in those chubby hands of his. “Jaejoong… it’s for you.” He handed the phone over to me and left, and I could see a slight sympathetic look given to me as he turned back. When I put the phone by my ear, I heard nothing at first; only a little static. Then, a business-like voice rang through. A woman’s. “Jaejoong-ssi am I correct?” I nodded, temporarily forgetting that I’m speaking through a phone instead. “Ahh, yes. That’s me.” That voice then grew softer, as though it became sadder and pitying. Nothing was said which caused a million explanations to run through my mind. Did my house burn down? Did I do something illegal? “I’m sorry to say, but your parents have been in a plane crash.” I froze immediately. “Wait… what?!?!” “I’m very sorry. They were on a plane to Europe, and the pilot lost control of the vehicle. Turns out he wasn’t licensed in the first place.” “No… that… that can’t be…” Wait… they’ve just been in a plane crash, right? Maybe… maybe they’re still alive! Those words brought my hope up again. “Are they okay?” “They’re… dead.” Dead. My parents were dead. That word just rang through my head over and over. Dead. Pictures just flashed before my eyes, as if I was the one about to die. Every single memory with my parents… That’s all that they are now. Just a memory. “I’m so sorry Jaejo—“ I hung up. What kind of stupid sympathy was that? I could feel my hands tremble. What do I do now? What do I do without them? How will I survive? I didn’t know what to do anymore. The phone broke apart as I threw it to the ground. I didn’t care whether it was my teacher’s. That thing lied. No, they’re not dead at all…. I ran outside to escape from that web of deceit, failing to notice that tears were streaming down my face.
"Stupid lady..." I mumbled. "Stupid plane..." "Stupid trip..."
I couldn’t feel anything. Only those bitter numb feelings that pierced my bone. Day 5 Scene Change “You guys go ahead, I’m going to sleep early,” Yunho yelled out to his friends outside the cabin. As soon as the door clicked shut, the room went pitch-black. The lights weren’t even on in the first place. “Weird…” he muttered softly as he took off his shirt, approaching the bunk bed. The creaking of the floorboards beneath his feet stopped as he paused. There was a body lying on his bed. He would’ve struck the heap of mass, but finally recognized that mop of black hair. “Joongie, you’re on my bed.” Only the chirping of the crickets replied. “I know you like my scent and all, but that’s just going too far,” he said tauntingly. Yunho started to regret the words when he heard no usual clever retort. “Joongie…?” He dropped his shirt on the ground and peered closer, hearing a muffled sob came from the heap. “W-what’s wrong?” he asked, concerned. The body immediately shot up, crying and screaming, “This is all your fault!” It was accompanied by harsh poundings to Yunho’s naked chest which he just guiltily accepted. “Jaejoong?! What happened?!” Yunho expected the boy to get mad at him and become flushed like he always did, but not cry and pound him for the usual teasing. The fists started to hit harder, almost as rhythmically as the tears that fell down from his dark eyes. “This is all your fault!” he repeated again, sobbing. “I-if… if you were nice to me, my life wouldn’t be hell at school too! It’s always about you!! Always about YOU! If you weren’t here, I could’ve kept in touch with my parents instead of having to deal with you!!! They’re DEAD now! Are you happy?!?!” His hands slowly stopped moving as he lost his energy, falling down to his disheveled body. “You jerk…” he mumbled, slightly incoherent between his sobs and gasps for air. Jaejoong didn’t dare look up into Yunho’s eyes, but if he did, he would’ve noticed how glazed over with repentance they were. He would’ve noticed how real those shining eyes looked. “I’m sorry…” Yunho whispered to him. “I’m so sorry…” He held Jaejoong for he had no idea what else to do. As he pushed the head into his chest, he combed through Jaejoong’s raven-black hair considerately, feeling the other’s tears drench his skin. Before his mind could scold him for doing so, Jaejoong’s arms reluctantly wrapped around Yunho’s bare back, pulling himself closer to the man’s body. Scared; he feared that another person might leave him. “I just want them back,” he cried. “I know…” Yunho repeated “I’m sorry” over and over as if he wanted to make himself believe that he truly is. And though those apologetic words also said by that woman on the phone, somehow, it only had an effect on him when it came from Yunho. Right now, it didn’t really matter whether any Jaeho fangirls were secretly spying on them or whether it was just completely insane that he was hugging his half-naked rival. They had no idea what did matter, but for now, they just wanted to forget everything and stay like this for a little bit longer. “Yunho…?” Jaejoong’s soft voice cut through the blanketing silence. “Hmm?” “Can I sleep on the bottom with you? Just for tonight?” A/N: Yes! Finally! Sorry about that, guys... I tried to update! Really, I did! But it said something about the post-limit exceeding? 0.o I don't know. Well, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter :D I'm still in the process of rewriting Fake Love, so you have to wait a while. Sorry. I'm just running out of ideas for that fic. Anywho, please take your time to give me feedback if you can. I'll do my best to reply if I can :)

Several years then passed, with Jaejoong now being in high school. A new student then appeared on the scenes, being none other than Yunho himself! Yunho quickly becomes popular among the student body, and Jaejoong is thrilled to re-connect past ties. Only through a rather curt conversation did he find out that a cold, snobby man has replaced the sweet boy he once was.
Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 5::..
“It’s over! It’s finally overrrr!” Jaejoong exclaimed happily, running out into the middle of the green field of grass. He was still dressed in that costume of his, the high frilly collars just barely covering the bruising red marks Yunho made on his neck. “What are you so happy about?” the other said listlessly, dropping the black cape to his vampire costume carelessly onto a nearby bench. He watched as the raven-haired boy ran eagerly to each booth, forcing himself between crowds of students as he strained to see where Jaejoong was off to. “Aren’t you happy? There’s no more work to be done! No more haunted house booth! No more screaming fangirls! And best of all, no more spending time with you!!!!” He cheered heartily while heading to the nearest station, peering over the mass’s shoulders to see the source of commotion. Their class thought that the haunted house would attract more costumers if their booth were to end a bit earlier than the others. Surprisingly, it did. Students raged in line just to get a small glimpse of their sexy classmates in the last scene. Many girls traveled from other schools to come to the famous annual festival held here, not expecting to see a steaming scene as a reward. But then again, as happy as Jaejoong was that their booth was over, surprisingly, he didn’t want it to end. Now that their conversations didn’t consist of insults and bad words 90% of the time, Yunho’s company was actually a bit… enjoyable. “Oh! The pain! I thought you liked me!” Yunho said sarcastically, gasping and clutching at his chest dramatically. Jaejoong grimaced at him in disgust, trying to lose the man in the massive crowd when escaping to the booth ahead. “Five tries, please,” he said to the vendor while scanning over the floating fishbowls in the pool in front of him, unaware of the sudden presence of Yunho once again. He ignored the man, his concentration focused on tossing the four white balls. He cursed the wind for its direction, causing him to miss each time, Yunho watching with mirth all the while. “Come on, you know you liked our scene. You sure weren’t complaining.” His attentiveness was interrupted and the ping-pong ball dropped out of Jaejoong’s hands, landing into the warm hands of another. “Watch,” he said, smirking and with amazing accuracy, tossed it into the blue container floating in the corner. “No I don’t! You fucking violated me! And gee… thanks,” he muttered as the vendor gave him the goldfish that now ridiculed him with its gaping mouth. The day soon grew dim as the two walked on, stopping every once in a while when Jaejoong wanted to have a try in one of the many games—which he dreadfully lost. The prize was acquired by Yunho however, and the man was (almost) more than happy to give the gifts to the other. The glimmering stars twinkled happily every once in a while, as if to grin at the joyous festival beneath it. It deeply complemented the pearlescent moon that shone over the transparent paper lanterns that glowed with lit flames, lining the path with its faint light. But even these beautiful sights weren’t enough to stray the eyes of the spectators. No, there was a sight much more shocking. It was the sudden tranquility between their “king” and of his claimed rival walking right beside him. After all, he was the one to prank and tease the other boy in the first place, so why should that aura surrounding them now feel so calm and almost… forbidden? Even tiny smiles graced both of their faces, one happy with the armful of prizes while the other just happy to be relieved of the tension that followed him left and right. “Oh yeah, Joongie,” “Stop calling me that. And what?” He hesitated for a moment, but decided to go on. “Are you going out with Changmin?” An annoyed sigh met his question and Jaejoong spun on his heels, glaring as he heard the overly-common words. “I told you! I’m not going out with him! He’s younger than me! And… and I don’t like younger men!” “Oh? I thought you liked me. Does that mean I don’t have a chance then?” He said in amusement while swinging his arm casually over Jaejoong’s shoulders and watching as the other stuttered and turned several shades of red. The circle of people around them secretly moved in closer, listening carefully to their conversation. “N-no! I just…” Shit. Why’d I deny it? Yunho quirked his eyebrow and the onlookers dragged their ears in even closer, trying to catch every single detail. “A-anyways…” Jaejoong said in attempt to evade the subject. “Why do you care so much if I’m going out with him, anyways?” “…” The arm unwound from his shoulder. “Yes?” “…” “… I thought you hated me.” “I do.” “Then why are you still so nice to me all of a sudden? The truce is over after today.” He still didn’t believe the conversation they had in the haunted house. “Because,” he tugged his matted brown hair in frustration. “I’m… your neighbor!” His face was painted with the same shock as the eavesdropping crowd; confused but slightly disappointed in a way… “What does have to do with anyth—“ “Jaejoong!” A loud voice coming from behind distracted Jaejoong, forgetting the whole conversation and turning around to greet his friend instead. “Minnie!” “Not again,” he muttered softly as the boy ran up to them, secretly relieved that Jae’s “boyfriend” (he still didn’t believe what Jaejoong told him) saved Yunho from having to explain his previous words to Jaejoong. The crowd around them slowly dissipated, not taking interest in seeing the complicated love triangle in front of them. After all, it was probably just a failure of a dramatic love story by some amateur writer. As the two engaged in a very… close conversation, Yunho walked slowly behind the pair, his feet dragging on the dirt as he tried to blatantly ignore them and take interest in the scenery instead. Stars glittered brightly and the nearby trees swayed in the cold breeze, blowing elegantly through Yunho’s copper-dyed hair and reminding him of his wavering emotions. Lately, it’s getting harder trying to hide himself behind that “perfect” mask of his. So many people thought he was handsome, smart, mature, and athletic; it was just a big misconception. He was forced to put on that façade everywhere, expected by so many people to be superior to others. At home, he was supposed to be the intelligent son for his dad, who shows him off and plans to hand the family company over to him. In school, he’s the popular kid, friendly and well-known yet surpassing the teachers’ expectations of his grades. In the beginning, it was sort of easy. After all, it wasn’t very difficult to fulfill everyone’s needs. To Yunho, it just happens slightly involuntarily now. But lately, it grew harder with the sudden transferring of schools and a boy there to evoke him. It almost felt as though Yunho was faking himself when he forced that usual smile of his, the grin almost breaking as Changmin started testing him on his temper. Ever since that, his grades seemed to take a bad turn—an A minus was considered bad for him nowadays. He was given a lecture by his dad during 2nd grade when his grade dropped due to his refusal of talking to other students—and the professional presentations he gave to his father’s business clients became unorganized and watered-down Those daily parties didn’t help much either. Still seeing Jaejoong and Changmin talk happily, Yunho decided to drift off silently, heading home and running away from his problems like an escaping fugitive.
..::Scene Change::..
And so, another normal, boring school day starts yet again. The same sparrows are still chirping outside the dusty window, the same shade of blue is still suffused against the dull sky. After the festival, everything went back to normal, as did Yunho and Jaejoong’s relationship. (If there ever was one.) Yes, the temporary truce was finally over. Yunho went back to taking joy in “unconsciously” sticking his foot out for Jaejoong to trip over, and the latter still resorted to his usual threats and mutterings of “Stupid Yunho!”—which was usually replied by an angry “It’s Mr. Jung!” However, don’t think any of Jaejoong’s feelings reverted back as usual. Oh no. Those feelings were just buried under other emotions he chose to identify as “hate”. And the same goes for Yunho. Since Changmin didn’t choose to back off, neither did he. Though he didn’t physically show his jealously, Changmin could feel those possessive eyes secretly burning into his back, reminding him to stay off the man’s property. But in order to find out more about their mysterious relationship, Changmin chose to ignore the glares. Word got around fairly quickly, the commonest rumor of Jaejoong and his new “boyfriend”. Although Changmin didn’t really approve of the rumor, he definitely didn’t deny it either which led to further snide comments. Heck, he would’ve been the one to start the rumor himself, but his hyung certainly didn’t approve. “They’re just jealous, Umma!” was what he said to finally get the older to calm down. But it was the anger of another man that really scared him… “Changmin, I need to speak with you.” The whole cafeteria fell to a hush and Jaejoong looked on worriedly at his friend who secretly reassured him. The small smirk on his face was covered by the apathetic shrug and a rather listless “Sure, whatever.” Changmin followed the man’s retreating back while the crowd stared at their interaction, immediately erupting into small not-so-inaudible whispers when they left the room. “Hey, do you think Yunho’s gonna beat him up?” “Yeah, did you see that gleam in his eye?” “What?! Why?!?!” “Something about stealing Jaejoong away from him, I think.” “Isn’t Changmin Jaejoong’s boyfriend?” “Maybe. I think Yunho is though.” “What?!?! Yunho’s going out with Jaejoong?!?!” “I think so. Didn’t you see them together at the festival?” “Oh yeah, and that haunted house booth of theirs.” “I heard that scene wasn’t part of the script.” And other short chats or more of the like revolved around Jaejoong who clamped his ears shut with his palms. Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?! He wanted to shout, but the sudden outburst would just lead to more rumors. As he sat in the cafeteria helplessly, he whispered small words of hope for his friend so as not to get hurt. But surprisingly, he wished the same for Yunho.
..::Scene Change::..
“What the fuck is going on?!?!” “What do you mean?” Changmin said rather carelessly while cracking open the can of soda he brought with him. Ahh, caffeine was good in any situation. “You know exactly what I mean,” he seethed through clenched teeth, throwing Changmin harshly against the cafeteria door, the other flinching slightly from the impact. “I specifically told you not to touch my property and the next thing I know, your fucking hands are all over him.” After taking a large swig from the can, he replied with an almost sarcastic “Oh?”, curling his lip into a taunting smile. This was sure proof that Yunho is indeed crazy about Jaejoong. Now if we can just get the latter to come out of his senses… “What’s with the ‘oh’?” Though Yunho didn’t say, truthfully, he wouldn’t have been able to tell that Changmin was younger than him without finding information on the boy first. He wanted to find out everything about him as soon as he saw Changmin’s close relationship with Jaejoong. Due to Yunho’s popularity, it wasn’t hard to find everything about Changmin from fellow classmates. The thing is, all that seemed to be unusual about him was his complex mind and that endless stomach of his. “Well, I was sorta wondering why Jaejoong is your property. You hardly give him a glance, and yet, he’s yours for the taking.” He smiled that crooked grin of his. “What’s your true relationship with Jae? Tell me and I’ll back off.” His taller stance didn’t help ease Yunho’s humiliation. He liked being the one to look down on people, but right now, the younger’s height seemed to embarrass him further. (Though it was hardly even an inch.) “There is no relationship.” He said monotonously, his voice stern and serious. But was that a small hint of sadness Changmin heard? “I don’t think so,” the can of soda was tossed in the trashcan nearby, “you’re ‘nice’, remember? You wouldn’t treat a stranger that way, especially if they can just out you.” Small squeaking of shoes on linoleum interrupted the conversation. Changmin and Yunho turned to the direction of the interlopers, only to find several students walking by, quizzically glancing at the scene in front of them. As the group entered the cafeteria door, still sending fleeting glimpses back, Yunho’s voice echoed through the lingering silence. “I’m his neighbor.” “And…?” Changmin asked impatiently, raising an eyebrow. At least try to make a better excuse, he thought. “What does that have to do with anything?” Damn, I thought I’d get away with that much. He cursed himself silently as he was cornered by the younger’s interrogating, staring into those piercing eyes as he was forced to resort to telling the truth. Hands reached down towards the back pocket of his own black uniform slacks, searching for the crumpled note he knew he always carried with him. “Here,” he said, tossing the wrinkled paper over to Changmin who caught it clumsily. “Read it. It’ll have everything you want to know, but I should not hear any words of this coming from anyone besides you and me. Understood?” Nodding as he unraveled it curiously, Changmin read the fancy writing on the half-torn paper that grew off-white due to age. Dear Yunho, it said. Ahhh… the time comes once again for me and my husband to travel on a new expedition. I know this may seem like a selfish request, but can you please watch over Jaejoong for me? Yes, Joongie is old enough to stay home by himself, but somehow, I just don’t feel comfortable leaving him alone like that. Besides, I know he’ll love seeing his old childhood friend again! I immediately jumped to the chance of buying the house next to mine when I heard your dad was doing business here once again. (How is your dad, by the way? Is he still caught up in his business matters? Aish, that man…) Keep the house! It’s yours! You’re old enough to act on your own, anyways. Joongie would be glad to have you back in his life. Oh, and please do us a favor by not telling Joongie of this. Thank you, Yunho! I trust you know the numbers to the fire department and such? The letter ended with an elegant signature that was of, Changmin was sure, Jaejoong’s mom. After all, that cheerful speech was certainly hers. Glancing up, he saw the expectant look on Yunho’s face, so realistic compared to his other fake animated expressions. “So… you really are Jaejoong-hyung’s childhood friend!” Only a short nod ensured the answer. “I’ll back off then. Jae-hyung’s just a friend of mine, anyways. That was all just a ploy so I know what you felt for him.” “A ploy?” Yunho asked, more to himself than Changmin. He felt stupid for temporarily losing his cover over some stupid ploy, and even more so since he overreacted for no apparent reason. Changmin folded the crumpled note and stuffed it into his pocket, his eyes shining with mischief, and his lips graced with a smirk. “I have your note, so don’t forget that I can tell everyone about this. So tell me… do you like Jaejoong?” “I…”
..::Scene Change; Jae’s POV::..
I waited nervously, sitting on the edge of my seat at the isolated table. Every minute that passed by unnerved me, and I could feel the sweat tingeing my palms. Changmin sure took an awfully long time talking to Yunho… And were those punches I hear? My feet became restless so I stood up, pacing back and forth in the middle of the room. I saw the pitying looks from the people around me, but I just ignored it. A small click came from the cafeteria and I immediately shot up, expecting to see at least one of them return—the other would probably be bruised and battered. Instead, I saw some people from my class walk in, though I caught a glimpse of two other figures standing against the wall outside. I assumed they were Changmin and Yunho, and thank god none of them was lying dead on the floor. As soon as the clock hanging above the door struck 1:00, they burst suddenly from the door. Yunho’s hand was patting Minnie’s back in a friendly way, like that of a father patting his child after a small lecture. Like many of the others’, my face was painted with a ‘WTF?!’ look on it. I just stood there, shocked as Changmin walked over to me after waving his goodbyes to Yunho who was headed towards the opposite direction. “What was that all about?” I asked Minnie, just managing to get my voice to open up from the shock. He sent me one of his crooked grins. “Nothing, Umma. I told you there was nothing to be worried about. Yunho is as nice as everyone says he is. You should be friends with him!” Oh great. Minnie was deceived again. Just when I thought we were finally on the same side, he’s reverted by none other than Mr. Jung himself. Nice? Don’t make me laugh. Nice doesn’t mean tripping and pulling pranks on someone. Nice doesn’t mean stealing your publicity and brainwashing everyone in thinking that you’re friendly. And nice certainly doesn’t mean saving someone from glass shards, only to violate them later on. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything back to Changmin, so I just sat there, waiting for the bell to ring. It’s the last class of the day…
..::Scene Change::..
The door slammed shut, vibrating against the walls loudly while the pudgy teacher walked in, a bright smile on his chubby face. The entire class straightened up—electronics were put away, chewed gum was placed on the bottom of desks, and the pranks were stopped. “Class, I have exciting news!” He cleared his throat, pausing momentarily for suspense. “Remember our haunted house booth?” Everyone except Jaejoong and Yunho nodded vigorously; the two were sick of the added fangirls. As if this school’s girls weren’t bad enough, now, they couldn’t escape the rowdiness of other schools as well. “Well… we won thanks to Yunho and Jaejoong’s last scene together!” he said, flashing a thumbs-up to the two who were seated in the back. Loud whoops of delight were heard as well as the slapping of hands as the students turned around to give high-fives to their nearby classmates. A hoarse voice from the front yelled out, “What’s our prize?” The pudgy teacher’s grin then grew wider, threatening to split his chapped lips if they were spread even farther. “First, let me remind you that each of you can bring along a friend, because the entire class is spending a week-long trip… in the mountains!”

Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 4B::..
The chilly morning’s breeze blew a cold huff of air, echoing through the school’s empty hallways. As the season was nearing winter, students hustled into their classrooms early, relishing in the rooms with built-in heaters. Ahh, yes. This was the time when the student body united. Popular kids shared hot chocolate with the nerdy; upperclassmen offering warm attire to the unaware freshmen. Yes, winter was a thing to behold. But while everyone else was busy “bonding”, a raven-haired boy sat alone on a corner, staring at another young man as he pondered about the previous day’s event. He shivered and his body developed goose bumps as his gaze dropped to those sinful lips, remember just how close they were to his skin. He still felt the lingering warm breath trailing down the back of his neck. But being in a state of denial, Jaejoong dismissed the trembling as just a regular symptom of the cold weather, not realizing that his body shook only when Yunho appeared in his mind. Dazed, his eyes just grew blank; following the other’s every move unconsciously. “Ahh! Jaejoong-hyung!” A familiar voice echoed from the door and Jae blinked rapidly, refocusing on the door as he recovered from his temporary stupor. He saw his two friends walk through, both clad in the school’s winter uniform with their teeth chattering. Other people’s presences were of no importance to them, as they simply strolled up towards the crowded aisles and took a seat next to their friend’s desk. “What’s wrong, Joongie? You seem out of it today,” Yoochun asked, his voice laced with concern as he saw the remnants of blankness that had no time to leave. I must have said something wrong, he thought as he saw Jaejoong scowl at his words. This is probably Yunho’s fault.
“Don’t call me Joongie anymore,” a low inaudible voice said. “Huh? But you never complained before!”
“Well… I don’t feel comfortable with that nickname…” Jaejoong shivered slightly from the events from yesterday that was plaguing his mind. He tried thinking of other things to get rid of the darned thought, but it was to no avail. “I see... It has to do with Yunho, doesn’t it? What’d you guys do last night?” Changmin smirked at his hyung knowingly, maybe a bit too knowingly as he caused Jae to shift in his seat nervously.
“N-nothing! W-what makes you think we did s-something?” Jaejoong blurted in denial, stuttering a bit from the sudden pressure. He smiled sheepishly.
The other two immediately glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes secretly, as if to say, ‘Yep, they definitely did something.’ The youngest was about to accuse Jaejoong of liking him, but he saw the same zoned-out look they first saw as they entered the room. The face looked blank, stupefied, and in love. Without turning around to see who Jaejoong was staring at, Changmin already knew who the focus of his attention was. A smile slowly spreading across his face, he poked Yoochun in the side, whispering to his friend, “Y’see? Jaejoong does like Yunho.”
“I can obviously tell,” Yoochun scoffed in reply. “But how do you know Yunho likes him back?”
“Now this is where the mission finally begins. Watch this dear friend” Changmin smiled widely at his friend who anticipated his next plan, his hands tugging on the hem of the uniform shirt to make it look presentable. For an extra effect, he combed his fingers through his hair to give it that slight messy look he knew all girls would fall for. Of course, Jaejoong wouldn’t, but the situation would seem all that more believable to Yunho.
“Jaejoong hyung,” he said as he dropped the tone of his voice a bit more. “Don’t worry. I’ll keep Yunho away from you.” Cackling as Jaejoong smiled back at him in thanks, he glanced at the man in front of the room to see any reactions. There were none. ‘And the fun starts here.’
“You seem to be shivering, hyung,” he said, slipping his arms around Jaejoong’s neck. The older just said ‘thanks’ back, returning the hug even tighter. Since he knew Jaejoong for a long time, any occasional touches were common and out of friendship only. But luckily, Yunho doesn’t know that. And suddenly, as if the man was manipulated by a puppeteer, his head immediately shot up and turned suddenly to the direction of two people’s closeness. Changmin tried to hold in his laughter as he saw Yunho shoot him a nasty glare.
Let’s take this up a notch. To rile the poor man up even more, Changmin dropped his hands slowly, edging towards Jaejoong’s waist and tightening his hold. Jaejoong shot him a quizzical glance, but said nothing, just appreciating the added heat. Yunho couldn’t take it anymore. Someone else’s hands were over Jaejoong’s body. He had no idea why it bothered him so much… it just did. While Yunho stomped up towards them, Changmin mouthed a quick “Told ya” to Yoochun who just raised his eyebrows in reply.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
Looks like he really isn’t nice after all. “Yunho! Why are you here?” he asked nervously.
“It’s Mr. Jung. And furthermore, who’s the guy hanging around your neck?”
“Him? H-”
Jaejoong’s words were muffled by the other’s hands, Changmin replying for him.
“I’m Shim Changmin. I believe we’ve seen each other here and there. I thought you were a nice guy; what’s with the attitude?”
‘Jackpot!’ he thought to himself as he saw the other’s mouth gape open. Yunho was about to say something nasty back, but the man caught himself just in time. It’s much too early to destroy my reputation now, he told himself silently. Throwing back one last glare at Changmin, Yunho walked back to his desk dejectedly, muttering words inappropriate for children under 13.Changmin winked at Yoochun in success who now understood what the mission was about. Yes, Yunho had the hots for Jaejoong, alright. “Shim Changmin!” Oh boy… Here it comes… “What the hell was that?!?! What’d you do to me?! What’d you do to him?!” “Calm down, hyung! I just… I don’t like how he steals your attention now… You’re my umma! I want your attention too! I’m just jealous.” Well… this isn’t all entirely false anyways. Truth to be told, he really did want Jaejoong’s attention back. It isn’t all that fun hanging around a lovesick fool.
Jaejoong’s eyes softened, shining slightly with guilt.
“Fine… I guess I haven’t been hanging out with you guys much since I’m all caught up in the haunted house stuff.” “You got that right,” Yoochun added in, not so helpfully. “Jaejoong-hyung! This week, I’m spending all the time I can with you! Just so I won’t miss you as much.” ‘And so I can get Yunho to become more jealous.’ He secretly shot Yoochun a thumbs up who readily replied with one of his own. He knew it was best not to doubt that little genius. After all, he could see the other's cold envying stares following the two.
This was gonna be fun. ..::Scene Change::..
The day of the festival was now here. Though Jaejoong and Yunho’s progress had slowly dropped due to Changmin’s ingenious plan, the two managed to complete the booth just in time for the festival. It really didn’t help that they argued every time they saw each other either. One was demanding to know who Changmin was, while the other just kept replying “HE’S JUST A FRIEND!!!!” Both Yoochun and Changmin both had a good laugh though. It was hilarious seeing the two bicker. They were like newlyweds. Throughout the last week, Changmin chose every opportunity for him to be as close to his hyung as possible. To Yunho, it was simplyANNOYING. If Yunho was in the same room as Jaejoong, the other boy would quickly appear, directing Jaejoong’s attention elsewhere. Every touch, every close whisper, every laugh the two shared… He couldn’t help but envy the two. Though he didn’t know their true relationship (yet assumed they were a couple), he couldn’t help but plot Changmin’s end so he can take his spot instead. After another truce, Yunho and Jaejoong finally agreed to forget every event for now in order to finish their booth. And of course, that is why they are here right now. At the festival. It wasn’t all that different from normal school festivals. Sure, the mayors and celebrities came. Sure, rides took over the entire back field. But if you take out all the expensive items, you’d have an ordinary festival. Actually, you’d have nothing, but let’s not get to that. It was very nice here though. Each classroom held a booth, and since there was a door in the back, they could actually lengthen their stall. There were such a variety of topics! Do-it-yourself booths, fortune-telling booth, booths made into restaurants to serve the public, and of course, you have the haunted house booth. It was very popular. Wherever you go around the festival, you’d hear previous visitors talking about how well-designed it was etcetera. But of course, everyone mainly went for the last scene of the house in which our two main characters are in themselves. “Deadly yet breathtaking,” everyone critiqued. “Finally! A DAMN BREAK!!!!” Jaejoong shouted with relief, glad to find that there was only one session left to go, and the festival would be over. He was dressed in a costume from that resembling the Victorian Era, complete with the frills at the collar. The fabric clinging to his waist emphasized his thin body, falling down every curve. His hair was tousled and fake blood dripped down the side of his neck, staining the top portion of his short a deep red. All in all, he looked very appetizing. Even more so to Yunho, his predator. “It’s not that long, you know. It’s even less than ten minutes,” Yunho reminded him. Yes, he was the main reason why every single girl in the city dropped by the school. But to see him as a vampire and feasting on such a beautiful victim… it was heaven to them. His outfit was completely black, save for the white dress shirt inside and the occasional pops of red in the folds. And those realistic fangs… It made the girls (and Jaejoong) weak in the knees. Dangerous and sexy, a deep contrast to the beautiful and innocent victim.
Jaejoong sighed, sitting down in the old antique chair placed in the room. He had to admit, both he and Yunho did a good job. It almost scared him being in this area, where the lights were dim and the room made to look desolate with the creepy furniture. But as long as someone was next to him, it was fine.
“You’re done already?” Changmin appeared out of the blue, looking around curiously at the room.
“Changmin!” Jaejoong shouted, surprised with his sudden appearance. In the corner, a small sarcastic mutter of the word “great” was heard from the vampire, annoyed by how omnipresent the kid was. He rolled his eyes as Jaejoong made small chat with his (he assumed) boyfriend, ignoring the two yet glancing over every once in a while to check whether Changmin kept his hands to himself. He was aware to those small glances and smirked, saying to Jaejoong “Wow, did you really make this costume?” gliding his hands across Jae’s chest, making sure to move it extra slowly so Yunho would be sure not to miss it.
“HEY! HANDS OFF!!!” Changmin felt his wrist being gripped by a strong hand, and he was surprised to see how quickly Yunho appeared by his side. He couldn’t help but laugh under his breath as he saw the seriousness of the cold eyes. I am so gonna work on getting these two together. Jaejoong looked at Yunho questioningly, not sure if he heard the right words from the sudden outburst. “Why should I?”
“Because,” Yunho started, sure to emphasize the first word a bit to make it clear. “My victim and I need to get ready.” He grabbed Jaejoong by the hand and pulled him over to his side, taking the time to stare Changmin down.
The boy just put both hands up in defeat and acted as though he were fending off a blow. “Fine, whatever. Have fun.” He muttered, leaving the two to sort out their own complications.
As soon as the door slammed shut, Jaejoong turned around angrily, scowling as he faced Yunho.
“What was that all about?!?! I’m not your property! You can’t tell others what to do with me!”
Yunho kept silent.
“Why are you being so mean to my friend?!?! What’d he ever do to you?!?!?!”
And that was his limit. He pushed Jaejoong into the wall, hard, holding the boy in place with his hands on the boy’s shoulders. Glaring, he inched closer, making it so that their noses touched; that his every breath stung the other’s lips. “Well let me make this clear to you.” Jaejoong shifted uncomfortably, nervous of what Yunho had to say.
“I am not your toy,” he seethed dangerously. “You and your boyfriend must have fun ridiculing me while you flirt with each other.”
“He’s NOT MY BOYFRIEND,” Jaejoong growled, sick of repeating the same sentence over and over because it couldn’t get into Yunho’s thick skull.
“Then stop being so close to him.”
“Why should I?” Jaejoong argued back. “And why do you care, anyways?”
“I… I just DO.” Tousling his hair in frustrated manner, he growled at the circulating conversation.
Jaejoong just left it at that, not knowing what else to say. Do you hate me?, he wanted to ask. Maybe he’s confused like I am? He opened his mouth to ask something, but was cut off by a small cracking noise. “W-what was that?”
“I don’t know… It sounds like… glass,” Yunho said, looking around for the source of the sound. As soon as his gaze was directed towards the ceiling, his eyes turned wide with shock..
“Shit. JAEJOONG!” he yelled, pushing Jaejoong onto the hard floor before the glass chandelier managed to hit him. Jae’s body landed with a thud on the cold floor, Yunho landing directly on top of him. The chandelier fell with a loud crash, the shards chiming as they hit the floor, bouncing off and landing around their bodies. Really… a glass chandelier is too much even for the Victorian Era. “Yunho?” he groaned from the weight on his body, blinking as the blackness was soon replaced by his surroundings. He gasped as he saw several glass shards sticking out of Yunho’s back, the man unconscious at the moment. He managed to push Jaejoong away in time, but had to suffer slight injuries himself. As for Jaejoong, he had no injuries at all, only the aching where his head met the ground too rapidly.
“Yunho?” he whispered again, panicking when he heard no answer. “Mr. Jung?!?!” He shook the body on top of him. “Yunho! Please answer!”
Heavy pants tickled his skin at the neck and Jaejoong watched as Yunho slowly got up, groaning from the sudden pain that shot through his back. “Wait,” Jaejoong whispered, his hand reaching behind the man’s, slowly pulling out and brushing the shards off of his body. “Why are you being so nice to me?” Yunho heard as he endured the shards being uprooted from his skin. “I thought you hated me,” the raven-haired man said almost hesitantly. The last sentence caught him off-guard. “Don’t I have to be nice to you?” He replied back. Yunho was about to say something else, but he didn’t think it was needed. If it was, then it would be better for another time. They stayed there for a moment, trying to catch their breaths.
It was then that high-pitched screams were heard in the room nearby, startling the pair. “Fuck, we forgot. The ten minutes are over,” Yunho cursed. Their door slowly clicked open, and two girls crept in, looking warily around the room. “Play dead,” he whispered in Jaejoong’s ear, and the boy did as he was told. Grabbing the bag of “blood” from his pocket, Yunho tore it open with his teeth and poured it over Jaejoong’s body before disposing of it, making sure to smear some of the red liquid on the victim’s neck before the girls came closer. He tangled his fingers into Jaejoong’s silky hair, angling his head against the boy’s pale neck to make it seem like he was feeding. But like a real vampire, he had the urge to nip at the skin and to hear the boy gasp in pain. His lips were right next to the artery, every pulse enticing him and making him go mad.
The two girls screamed cacophonously in the dark room when they saw the vampire, both running towards the door. But before they reached it, they paused a bit, turning on their heels to face the scene again. Seeing the vampire, they screamed again. This time however, was not out of fear, but rather… it was out of… jaeho-ness. If we’re gonna be here for another 2 hours, I might as well have a little fun. Yunho decided to take advantage of the moment, nipping at the nearby sensitive skin. The other’s gasp was stifled, and Jaejoong scrunched his eyes in order to keep them closed. The reaction wasn’t to his liking, so Yunho tried again, biting a bit harder at the artery, and then lightly sweeping his tongue across it. A loud pant left Jaejoong’s trembling lips, his eyes shooting open as he felt a wet muscle against his neck. The girls screamed again as they saw Jaejoong open his eyes, running out the door and screaming “The LIVING DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!” As soon as they left, Jaejoong clenched the abused area with his hand, glaring menacingly at Yunho. “What was that for?!”
“Fun.”
Jaejoong was about to slap the man silly when he was stopped by Yunho’s words.
“Hey, look! Another visitor! Act dead again.”
There was none, but Jaejoong was unaware of it, allowing Yunho to take advantage of him yet again.

Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 4A::.. The week of the festival was quickly approaching, students as well as teachers were busy preparing their booths, creating and perfecting each detail. However, as for the haunted house booth, the amount of progress they made was the exact same percentage of cooperation Yunho and Jaejoong had. Zero; none at all. But today? Today was different. After having their reputation put up at stake as well as their grades, the decided to call a truce… just until the festival was over. Ding dong! Yunho stood outside Jaejoong’s house, rubbing his hands vigorously for the friction to recover his body’s lost heat. It was nearing winter, the cool breeze now replaced by a biting wind. As he waited for Jaejoong to open the door, he stood outside massaging his arms for warmth, recalling his first few months at the school. The students and teachers here were easier to fool than he thought, so his name spread very rapidly throughout the school in a vast field of gossip. He got good grades, threw lots of parties, was known for his charm as well as looks, managed to be captain of the basketball team in a short amount of time, and despite all of that, he was nice. So of course, Jung Yunho was likeable. Due to business reasons (Oh, did I mention he was rich too?), he and his father moved back here. Since his father was off somewhere managing the productivity of the company and whatnot, Yunho lived alone. (His father usually lives in expensive hotels and suites which didn’t exactly appeal to Yunho.) The first day of school went exactly as planned, but he was caught off-guard as soon as he saw Jaejoong. Yunho was still nice, charming, and friendly, but his aura changed completely when Jaejoong was around. He was anything but nice, teasing and pulling tricks on the boy. The cat-and-dog relationship went on for a while, but it had to end as soon as they were forced to work together. Yunho recovered from his thoughts as he heard the door click open softly, seeing Jaejoong peek out from behind. “Ahh! Sorry about that! I was taking a shower so I didn’t really notice.” That was obviously the answer, seeing as how the boy appeared dripping wet, wearing loose grey pants that rode just below the hips. His white wifebeater shirt was slightly transparent from the water, his pallid skin showing through as the fabric clung tightly to his thin waist. Yunho was practically shivering from the weather right now, and he thought it was absolutely crazy that Jaejoong was able to wear such showy clothing. “…Yunho?” Jaejoong looked curiously at the man, raising an eyebrow as he saw those dark onyx eyes travel up and down his body far too many times. He waved his hand in front of the man’s face, slightly flushing at the amount of attention he was receiving. Yunho cleared his throat, forcing his way through the door as he tried to pull his eyes away from the enticing sight. “I said it’s Mr. Jung,” he muttered.
The familiar line just caused Jaejoong to roll his eyes, ignoring the words and leading Yunho up the stairs and into his room. Stepping inside, Yunho found that a sweet vanilla aroma immediately hit him, and he wondered whether a man could actually smell that feminine yet still manage to be up-to-par with his own athleticism. He took in his surroundings, agreeing that the color white fits Jaejoong perfectly. The entire room was coordinated so that most of his items were monochrome, like that of an old film. The only hint of color came from a tiny frame beside the bed. Yunho was curious to see what the picture was, unconsciously stepping over in order to pick up the golden embellished frame. “A-ah! W-wait!” But it was too late. He already saw the picture. Jaejoong’s heart constricted a bit at the sight, seeing Yunho carefully analyzing the picture of him with a boy none other than Yunho himself. Silence fell throughout the room as he watched him, Jaejoong thoroughly deciphering every emotion shown on the man’s face. Though those dark captivating eyes grew cold and harsh around him, right now, they softened a bit. Every time Jaejoong stared at those eyes, he always found that every bit of emotion was lost in those dim shadows. But as they were directed at the photo, he began to see that it began to look… human. And those lips that would generally curl into a menacing smirk as Yunho taunted Jae… he caught the slightest hint of a smile tugging on them. Maybe he remembers me now? Though he had no idea at all why the room suddenly grew a bit too hot, he could feel his heart involuntarily speed up as he saw the man’s warm gaze fixated on the picture. Those beautiful kind eyes carefully analyzing it… why are they directed towards everyone but me? This… this was the Yunho that everyone fell in love with. It was the one that was never shown to Jaejoong. Maybe it was just a façade he’s putting on; maybe today, Jaejoong finally caught a glimpse of the true Yunho. He can’t help but feel isolated whenever he saw that gentle and calm demeanor change scornfully whenever Yunho caught sight of him. But just for today, it’s here for him to see; to admire. He gazed at Yunho again, seeing those fingers trace over each embossed detail in the frame. Though he had no idea why, he could tell that their relationship completely changed over the last couple of months. Now… his heart can’t stop pounding. I will find the reason for his attitude towards me. Am I the trigger? Am I the source of his conflicting emotions? The sound of a metal frame gently hitting the table startled Jaejoong out of his thoughts. He searched Yunho’s face once again for any leftover traces of that gentle aura, but it was easily masked by that returning disdainful gaze and that ridiculing smirk. “Who’s that kid supposed to be? A guy you like?” Jaejoong, almost choking, stammered, “W-what? The kid in the picture?” “Yeah. And who was the black-haired girl next to him?” ..::A bit later::.. Yunho’s jacket was littered on the floor from the sudden oppressive heat that sweltered in the air, the man sketching and drawing on an easel set up. A faint red mark was seen on his shoulder from a previous slap. Now he knew it was better not to mistake Jae for a girl. (Though it wasn’t hard to do so. ) Jaejoong sat on a nearby chair, spinning around as he racked his brain for inspiration on costumes for the booth. “Hey.” “Hmmm?” Jaejoong mumbled as he chewed on his pencil for ideas. “Hey you, hand me that paintbrush.” “I have a name, you know,” he spat with a glare. “Whatever. Just hand me the paintbrush.” Jaejoong was forced to do as he was told for fear of having no progress, knowing all too well that if the circulating conversation was to go on, they’d get nowhere. Walking over to hand Yunho the paintbrush, he muttered softly, “Stupid Yunho.” while trudging back to his desk. “What was that?” “Oh, nothing.” Jaejoong scoffed, sitting down and crossing his arms in annoyance. Instead of returning to the work he was assigned to do, Jaejoong spent his time glaring at Yunho, the other man just feigning indifference and continued painting. “Hand me the cup.”
"Why should I?” “Excuse me?” Yunho dropped the paintbrush onto the stand, a cruel glimmer in his eyes as he glared at Jaejoong intently. That was enough to make Jae almost regret his choice of words, wavering between the dull fringes of insecurity and confidence. He just ignored the uneasiness that gnawed at the back of his head, continuing with his words. "You heard me! If you’re not calling me by my name, then why should I do anything for you?! Why are you forcing me to call you Mr. Jung?!?!?! YOU should be calling me hyung! I’m OLDER than you, dammit!” He was so caught up in his words that Jaejoong failed to notice how quickly Yunho appeared in front of him, the man’s hands now on both sides of Jae’s head and pinning him to his seat. Stooping down so his head was at Jaejoong’s level, he scoffed in his face. “You may be older than me, but I’m of higher status than you. Calling me ‘Yunnie’ on the first day of school…” He paused to scoff slightly. “Don’t make me laugh. You want me to call you by your name then?” All the boy could do then was nod, shifting in the chair slightly from their proximity. Smirking, Yunho leaned in even closer, his lips right beside Jae’s ear. He lowered his voice until it was a mere breathy whisper, growling in the ear, “Fine then, Jaejoongie.” A slight moan could be heard throughout the room, Jaejoong unconsciously gripping the arms of the chair as he shivered from the husky voice. Yunho’s hot breath caused him to reflexively stiffen, turning his head slightly away from the man’s mouth for fear of being caught for the pink tinge on his cheeks. It’s just a name… but it makes me so weak. “Is something wrong, Joongie?” Moisture from the words licked his ear, Jae’s cheeks flushing slightly, his hands still clenching the chair tightly as he tried to suppress the rapid pounding of his heart. He pressed his lips together in a vain attempt to stifle his hard breaths, eyes closing as he waited for the head to move away. He couldn’t do anything in the moment as Yunho so easily manipulated him. What’s wrong with me? Jaejoong couldn’t understand how the timbre of his voice made his body shiver in excitement, or how the air suddenly grew so hot and suffocating. “S-stop…”
“Stop what?” Jaejoong clenched his eyes from the heat traveling in his ear, the warmth quickly spreading throughout his body like a fever. He could feel the low, breathy chuckles traveli—wait… chuckles? He propelled himself to open his eyes, Yunho now looking down at him with amusement. “I never knew saying your name would make you blush so madly. Your sensitivity leaves nothing to be desired for. I really need to call you that more,” he leaned in once again “Jaejoongie.” “W-wh—stop that!” Jaejoong spun the chair around so his back was facing Yunho, trying to calm his heart down. Even now his body couldn’t stop trembling. Jaejoong never knew his body was that sensitive, either. “Well, I’m gonna get ready for the party I’m throwing tonight.” Yunho grabbed the jacket that littered the floor, passing Jaejoong on his way to the door.
Turning his head towards Jae’s direction, he smirked at him before he stepped past the exit. “Bye Joongie!” Jaejoong could still hear the faint chuckles echoing through the room, accompanied by footsteps before the closing of a door stopped it. “Stupid Yunho”, he muttered as he pulled his legs up to his chest, dropping his head on his knees. Jaejoong spun the chair around a few times before his eyes caught the easel, deciding to see the amount of progress Yunho made. His hands flipped the last page back, still feeling the wet paint on the paper, gritting his teeth as he saw the image.
“THAT JERK!” Yunho spent the last hour sketching and painting small miniature cartoons of them, a red "Yunho PWNS!!!!" streaming across the paper, emphasizing a character beating up another black-haired one. Ripping the paper from the top, he shredded it and threw it to the floor, crumpling and stomping on it. Jae ran towards the window beside his bed, knowing that the direction it was facing would allow him to yell at Yunho. He parted the curtain, scrunching his nose as he saw the man in his room. As if Yunho predicted the uninvited guest (which he most likely did), Yunho just smirked and waved at him, pulling the blinds to his room down as soon as he saw Jae’s mouth open. Falling back on his bed with a huff, Jaejoong hugged his pillow while his hand combed through his dark hair. His time with Yunho wasn’t as bad as he had thought. In fact, it was actually a bit… fun… His fingers instinctively touched his left ear, still tingling from each warm breath and words that lingered on his skin. What is this feeling towards Yunho? Silly boy. It’s love. (Though he doesn’t know that.) All he knew was, it was completely different from what he felt for everyone else. Was it hatred? No… he doesn’t think it’s envy either. Admiration? Respect? Nope! It ran much deeper than that… much, much deeper. Maybe it’s… affection… He shook his head rapidly to dismiss the thought, grimacing at the thought of even thinking such thing. His hands dropped to his chest, and he was relieved to find that it wasn’t beating as rapidly anymore. “Jaejoongie…” Jaejoong involuntarily shivered from the memory, pink tingeing his cheeks once again. Smacking himself on the head for bringing it up, he scolded himself, “Bad Joongie.” But it wasn’t exactly a bad thing to experience. Maybe I’m sick, he thought. (A/N: *cough*lovesick*cough*) Something’s wrong with me… He rolled onto his side, seeing the picture of them together still standing on the desk and smiled slightly as he did so. Oh well… whatever it is I feel for him, I’ll figure it out in the future. But despite all that happened today; despite the lack of progress made, Jaejoong couldn’t help but look forward to seeing Yunho tomorrow.
A/N: Yes, I changed the title :D This is the last chapter I'm posting in a while, because my super super superrrrrrrr slow computer needs to be rebooted. :| I'll start reposting by the end of this month, though! [: So please be patient. Thank you for all of your very sweet comments. When I get back, that'll be the first thing I'll read. Please enjoy!

Title: Fake Love Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. Pairings: Jaeho, Yoosu, Keimin Genre: Romance, Drama, Slight angst Summary: Yunho gets paired up with Kim Jaejoong in a school project. He finds out that his hideous classmate is actually a gorgeous beauty in disguise due to an incident in his past. Yunho then "pretends" to go out with him, falling for him while he's at it. What happens when they think their love is fake? And when Jaejoong's past starts to arise once more?
Fake Love .Chapter 11B. Jaejoong woke up to the sun’s rays shining through the curtain’s lattice, its bright light causing him to squint and turn in bed restlessly. He groaned slightly, eyes still drowsy and half-lidded. Just then, he heard a heavy crash come from downstairs, the loud noise startling Jaejoong. Getting up warily, he slinked over to the door, walking out and quietly stepping down the carpeted stairs. A copper-haired man caught his eyes, as well as shards of expensive porcelain at his feet. Jaejoong could see the man’s chest rise and fists clench out of anger, and he was torn between pretending he never saw anything, or going over to the scene. Jae carefully approached the being, having decided on the latter, cautious as not to startle him. “Yunho…? Is everything okay?” Yunho turned around, his intense eyes softening as he heard the concerned tone in the raven-haired boy’s voice. “Yeah… it’s fine. Just some argument with my parents.” As much as he wanted to ask about the argument, Jaejoong just nodded, deciding to just drop the topic. The silence that then enveloped the two was prolonged, growing a bit awkward from the lack of conversation taking place. They stared at each other, smiling a bit sheepishly. The dense air was quickly broken when a maid shuffled over to them, sweeping at the glass shards littered on the floor. Both were equally relieved for her interruption, resuming to their daily morning rituals. “I’m gonna… get ready for school.” With that being said, Jaejoong headed up the stairs to his room, Yunho following close behind to do the same. ..::Scene Change::.. “Hyung, do you think they’ll actually come today?” “Don’t know,” Junsu muttered quickly, carrying on with his search for Yoochun. His boyfriend was oddly late today—not that he was ever on time. Though behind schedule, Yoochun always made it through the door right before the bell rang, but class already started and there was still no sight of the man. Though Yoochun was nowhere to be found, Yunho and Jaejoong quickly appeared at the door, both of them out of breath and panting. Junsu’s gaze dropped to their hands, finding them linked as they always were. The pair didn’t attend school for the last two days, the student body (as well as the teachers) finding it a bit suspicious as to why the couple were unusually absent on the same day. Junsu scanned them over, finding no obvious change in their relationship. However, Jaejoong didn’t seem as tense as before, and he surprisingly even found the boy smiling at Yunho. Yunho and Jaejoong walked towards the back of the classroom, heading towards their seat. Though still a bit upset at his helplessness, Yunho was happy about the fact that they replaced Jae’s damaged desk with a new one, the new seat situated right next to his. All eyes in the classroom were fixated on the couple, carefully watching them even as they sat down. The teacher soon stepped through the door however, their heads quickly turning towards the front of the room again as class started.
The session slowly went by, coming to an end as the bell rang. The continuous cycle went on for about three more classes, the four friends--one unusually gone--eventually meeting up at the lunch table. “So,” Changmin started, looking curiously at Yunho and Jaejoong. “Where were you guys the last two days?” As much as Yunho treated Changmin like a younger brother, there were just some things he couldn’t tell the boy (Though somehow, he surprisingly knew anyways.); Jaejoong’s family traumas being one of them. In just 2 days, he managed to get Jae to open up a bit more around him, and that effort was greatly rewarded by a true smile in return. But right now, that stunning smile was painted by an obvious look of uneasiness. “Hyung?” Yunho shook his head, redirecting his eyes to Changmin. “Y-yeah… I was just… moving Jae’s stuff into my house.” He let out a sigh of relief as Jaejoong’s back visibly relaxed, Yunho smiling a bit at the sight. He was replied by the further curiosity of his two friends, complete with raised eyebrows and constant inquiring. “Jaejoong? At your house? What for?” Junsu asked, listening intently while Yunho stuttered, trying to find his words. “Uhh… W-well… we’re going out so I figured… why not?” His head turning to the side, Jaejoong tried to hide his blush, knowing entirely that it was not at all why he moved in. Though as much as Jae wanted to deny it, he secretly wanted that to be the actual reason he now lived in Yunho’s house. Changmin and Junsu both raised an eyebrow and glanced at each other for a minute, aware that ‘we’re going out’ is not at all true, but decided to leave the matter as it is, the two not talking any further. It was at that moment that Yoochun barged through the cafeteria doors, on time for lunch yet late nonetheless. He ignored the intense stares of the bystanders completely, heading towards Junsu, his eyes focused on him and him alone. “Y-yoochun…” “I’m sorry I couldn’t come early, Junsu. I was helping my brother fill out transfer forms to this school, and I had to stop by other places for our anniversary!” Junsu blinked. Anniversary? “Judging from that blank look on your face, I’m guessing you have no idea what I’m talking about.” Yoochun chuckled as the boy bluntly shook his head, taking out a single red rose from behind his back and handing it to him. Junsu’s face literally lit up as he saw the flower, admiring it as he accepted the gift. Yoochun smiled warmly seeing the pure gratitude shown, pulling the boy into his chest. “Happy one month anniversary, Susu. Read the card.” “Card?” He peered over Yoochun’s shoulder see the rose, looking inside the red velvet lips and spying a small delicate roll of paper tucked in the center. Picking it out, he unraveled it, clearing his throat as he read the decorative script. “To my lovely Junsu: I’ve been chasing after you for a year already. The time flew by awfully fast. Never once did I dream that you would ever accept me. Regardless of my…promiscuous past, you still loved me nonetheless. When I look at your beautiful face and your qualities, I know that I was lucky enough to find myself such a breathtaking and kind-hearted man.” Junsu choked back a sob from the accumulating tears, his eyes glistening from the warm words as he read on. “Happy one month anniversary, Junsu. I hope we’ll stay together like this eternally, never leaving the other. I love you with all of my heart. Love, Your Micky.” He broke down at the last few words, crying happily in the arms of his lover. “Thank you so much, Micky.” With less than a moment’s hesitation, he backed away from the embrace, lifting his head to lock lips with Yoochun. Junsu’s arms slowly wound itself around Yoochun’s neck, his hands still holding the tear-stained note as well as the rose. The kiss was soft, sweet, and affectionate; Yoochun knew that throughout all the kisses he’s given away in his lifetime, this was the only one that held emotion… and love. They broke away hesitantly, almost unwillingly; unaware of the shocked faces that of the onlookers’. Honestly, they couldn’t care less. A raven-haired boy watched them, Jaejoong craving the romantic scene just taken place in the cafeteria. His eyes unintentionally traveled up the toned body of the man next to him. Will that ever happen to me? Seeing his friends’ sickly-sweet relationship, Yunho almost yearned for one of his own. Almost as if predicting the observant gaze of the one beside him, he faced Jaejoong, smiling as the boy’s head turned the opposite way in embarrassment. Their hands were still linked, Yunho squeezing the warm hand entwined with his, almost as if to say “Don’t worry. It’s not as fake as you think.” Hope unconsciously bloomed in their chests then, very little, but hope nonetheless. Jae thought the quick grasp was just a reflex, denying any chance that may later hint that their relationship runs deeper than they both thought. But the warm, gentle smile Yunho gave him was enough to reinforce the measly possibility. Maybe… just maybe one day I’ll really go out with Jae. I’ll muster up the courage to finally confess to him. Their linked hands right now meant far more than just a factor of their usual façade. It meant a step closer to a real relationship; a real love. ..::A bit later::.. “So Micky… who’s your brother, anyways?” Yoochun turned to the once timid raven-haired boy next to him. “Jae! You’re… you’re talking!” Laughing, Jaejoong said cheerfully, “Of course I talk! I’m not mute, you know!” He grinned seeing Jaejoong come out of his previous shell, the boy now engaging in a deep conversation with his Junsu. Flashing a thumbs-up to Yunho, he mentally gave his friend a pat on the back for his continuous effort, Yunho smiling back smugly. “So who’s your brother?” “Well…he has a different mom and he took her surname, so it’s not Park. His mom’s my father’s thir- wait… no… fourth wife.” “I guess the player attitude runs in the family,” Changmin scoffed behind him, earning an annoyed slap from Junsu. “OW! HYUNGGG!” “Thank you, Susu.” His boyfriend smiled back. “So where’d he come from?” Yoochun pondered for a minute, trying to recall the rather curt conversation with his father this morning. “I think it’s somewhere towards the southern area. All I know is, he lives next to the coast. I think he goes somewhere around Chungnam…?” Pausing in mid-bite, Yunho was surprised at the familiarity of the name. Where did I hear that…? Ah! Right! It was where Jaejoong used to live! “Jaejoongie! You used to live there! Maybe you know him!” Jaejoong nodded, a bit touched that Yunho still remembered their conversation before. There weren’t many schools around his old area, so he most likely knew the person. Since many of the students had no siblings, it was pretty easy to narrow it down. He heard a similar family background from someone he knew entirely too well, but… it couldn’t be that man… Could it? “So hyung,” Changmin said between the shoveling of food down his mouth. “what’s his name?” “Dongwook. Choi Dongwook.” And it was that simple name that caused Yunho’s hand to grip around Jae’s painfully, the latter’s eyes now dead and just seemingly unaware of the impending troubles. ..::Scene Change::.. “So Dongwook, am I correct?” The tall, burly man nodded at Seulgi who was pacing back and forth, her eyes constantly traveling up his body and back down. “Let me get this clear. You want Kim Jaejoong back?” “Yeah.” She smiled bitterly, smirking as she slowly plotted a scheme in her head. “I’m sorry to say, but your Jaejoong has been taken away by Yunho, my ex-boyfriend.” Her lip curled further as she heard a stream of curses coming from Dongwook, the words echoing back tauntingly in the empty room save for 4 people. “How about this?” Arms crossed, she stared at the man with a glint of malice in her eyes. “We team up to drive the two apart. When we do, you get your Jaejoong back, and I get my Yunnie.” The man winced slightly from such a nickname, mentally retching at the spoiled brat’s attitude. He grimaced at the thought of working together with this failure of a human being, but if he can get Jaejoong back, he’d gladly spend days with her plotting the couple’s demise. He just needed him back. Sure, he dumped him. So what? It was fun while it lasted! He was insanely pretty, but he got bored of the kid. But as he visited Yoochun, he sneaked a glimpse of the photo of his brother’s friends sitting at the lunch table. He could care less about the duck-butt Yoochun was kissing in the photo, but he became rather intrigued by the new Jaejoong. He certainly changed, the boy now smiling happily while holding hands with some guy he could care less about. But now that he saw how unaffected Jaejoong was towards their past relationship, he wanted him back. “Deal,” he said, shaking the cold skinny hand outstretched towards him. Seulgi smirked, content with the cooperation. Ayumi glanced worriedly at Stephanie who stood with her by the door, the two listening intently to Seulgi and Dongwook’s conversation. Noticing her friend’s uneasiness, she looked quickly at Seulgi. As soon as she saw that her back was still turned towards them, she leaned in and whispered, “We’ll notify them tomorrow.” Ayumi nodded. For now, they’ll be part of the cruel plan, but they will be the ones to spoil it in the end. A/N: >< Please don't kill me!!! *hides* I procrastinate... A LOT. >< I'm sorry. I was just... very... uninspired at the moment ^^; But now that the plot is FINALLY moving along, (I'm not saying it wasn't before xD) I'll be sure to update more often. ahahaha. >_> So yes, drama is starting to arise. Now that they further understand their relationship, family problems as well as Jae's PAST comes to interfere. I was planning to have Lee Junki be Jae's ex, but I thought he was too pretty to be evil :P (Again! Don't kill me!) Gosh, when I read over my works, I can't help but think that my writing tends to be a bit rushed ._. I'll slow it down a bit from now on and I'll try to make the chapters longer too x)

Title: Bonds That Shift Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. [Possibility of higher rating in future chapters] Pairings: Jaeho, Yoosu, Keimin Genre: Romance, Drama, Slight angst Summary: Jaejoong's childhood friend, Yunho, moved away when he was little.
Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 3::.. “Wait… so… Jung Yunho is my neighbor?!”
Changmin nodded, looking at his hyung sympathetically. Letting out a loud huff, Jaejoong crossed his arms and growling lowly.
“Great. Now I don’t just have to deal with that jerk at school, but at home too. He’s been here for what… 4 hours? And he already got on my nerves!” Patting Jaejoong on the shoulder, Yoochun grinned at his friend. “Don’t worry, Jae. Just call us when he’s bothering you. We’ll keep you company!” ..::Scene Change::..
In only 3 days, Yunho’s name has already been spread quickly throughout the school. Jaejoong, who was originally the top student of the school, had been reduced to the second rank while Yunho took his spotlight. Girls swooned over his good looks, and guys secretly envied him, yet respected the man. Teachers and adults were completely charmed by his “handsome looks” and “polite manner”. And as a neighbor? It was even worse for Jaejoong. The constant parties Yunho held kept him up all night! It was simply amazing how his other neighbors haven’t complained about the racket at all. Even if Jaejoong were to call the cops, they would instantly fall for Yunho’s tricks. “Just let him have his fun. He’s such a sweet and charming boy”, they say. Jaejoong tossed and turned in his bed, using his pillow to muffle the blaring music coming from the other side of the fence. Growling, he threw the pillow at the window in the direction of Yunho’s house, clearly fed up by the man already. Duped. He’s got everyone duped. Jaejoong used to be popular. He used to be the guy everyone liked; wanted to be. But now, that man just had to come out of nowhere and steal his title. Everyone else? They were content with it. They just simply didn’t care about Jaejoong’s whereabouts anymore. If you weren’t invited to Yunho’s party, you just weren’t cool. Simple as that. And guess who wasn’t invited? Jaejoong, of course.
Heck, even the nerds were invited. Even the teachers were invited. Every single person in the school—minus the freshmen—were invited to Yunho’s parties. Yoochun and Changmin were about to go too, but being the good friends they were, declined when they heard that Jae wasn’t. Yunho’s fooled everyone. No one could hate him. Even if he was perfect, instead of envying him to the point of dislike, they admired his qualities instead. He was like Jaejoong, except… better. Yunho was just too nice. Even Yoochun and Changmin fell for his tricks; Changmin, the SMART one. “Maybe it was just a bad first impression, hyung.” “Yeah… Yunho’s not that bad. Sighing from his depressing thoughts, Jaejoong turned to the picture frame beside his bed, their times together still vague. Yunho was so protective back then; so friendly. Even if Jaejoong’s eyes started watering only slightly, the other would run around franticly in search for something to cheer the crying boy up. Being with Yunho was like… having a never-ending sunshine. It was so warm, safe, and comforting. Though Jaejoong was a crybaby back then, being with Yunho brought a continuous smile on his face. Yunnie… why did you have to change so much? It was as if Yunho held somewhat of a grudge against him. He was nice to everyone except Jaejoong. Of course, if you hung out with Jae nowadays, he wouldn’t exactly look down on you, but… Let’s just say, everyone felt it was safer to disregard Jaejoong’s existence in their lives and follow their new “ruler” instead. Out with the old and in with the new, huh? Of course, Jaejoong couldn’t exactly blame them. If Yunho hadn’t given him that previous attitude of his, Jaejoong would’ve fallen for the man too. Well… not in that way of course. Knock, knock! The unexpected rapping at the door startled Jaejoong, the boy immediately recovering from his thoughts. Curious as to who the visitor might be, Jae got up from his bed, walking down the stairs and to the door. Jaejoong looked through the hole at the top of the door, expecting to see either Yoochun or Changmin standing at the doorsteps. All he got was some slimy liquid blocking his view. “What the?” Opening the door, Jaejoong was greeted by the splattering sound of an egg cracking against his shirt, the pajama top now smeared with the residue of raw egg. He looked up from his ruined outfit, seeing a smirking Yunho holding an egg carton in his hands. The man’s “minions” were currently taking joy in throwing toilet paper over and around his house, tossing the rolls of tissue up on the roof as the long streams of tissue was dangling down. Two short burly kids accompanied Yunho in egging Jaejoong’s house, becoming fully engrossed in trashing his property. The cracking of egg shells were heard as they hit the front window. Two white eggs that were previously in Yunho’s hands were gone, the insides now sliding down the translucent glass. Turning around, he saw the damage done to his house. “Why you—“ Jaejoong resisted the urge to chase Yunho down and wring his neck, seeing as how he had no backup in the current situation. His parents (like always) were somewhere across the world by now, the neighbors just simply didn’t care, and Yoochun as well as Changmin would be too tired to come to his house at 12:30 in the morning. Resorting to clenching his fist tightly, Jaejoong yelled out, “I’ll get you for this, Jung!” He slammed the door, reminding himself to clean off the mess the next morning. Jaejoong heard a faint “I said it was Mr. Jung!” as he walked up the steps and to his bed, eagerly absorbing every ounce of sleep he can get. ..::Scene Change, Yoochun’s POV::.. “Chunnieeeee… help me.” I turned to Jae, the rare dark bags under his eyes emphasizing the fact that he didn’t get enough sleep for the third time this week. His head quickly met the table, and I heard a slight painful groan come from the idle body. “Let me guess. Was it Yunho again?” Jaejoong replied with a nod, nuzzling his head between his crossed arms. You know, Jaejoong used to be perfect. Yes, he still was… but not as much anymore. Gosh, I would’ve been chasing after him if it weren’t for Junsu. But of course, I have to keep up my reputation as a player. Anyways... before Yunho came, Jae, Changmin, and I were the people everyone wanted to be. We were popular, and we were good looking. (Of course, I’m the best looking out of all of us.) I don’t exactly hate Yunho for taking away our titles, though. Call me weird, but I just couldn’t hate the guy. No one could. He was just nice and… likeable. He seemed pretty cool. We, me and Changmin, thought it was weird how he despised our Jae. For what reason, I don’t know, but it seemed as if he picked on Jaejoong out of all people. It was like those old elementary school crushes. Instead of confessing to the girl, the boy just teases her, making the girl hate him more. It definitely seemed like that incident right now. But… nahhhhh. Yunho and Jaejoong? Together? Though old childhood friends, they fought like cats and dogs. They were just simply incompatible. Sure, they look good together, but I don’t think they’d like being paired up. “What’d he do this time, Jae?”
Though Jaejoong’s words were muffled by the black jacket he had on, I could vaguely hear bits and pieces of it. “That stupid bastard had one of his parties again.” I was about to pat him on the back for reassurance, but Jae quickly shot up from his previous state. Startled, I withdrew my hand. “He fucking egged my house, Micky! I had to wake up early to clean up the mess, and I could practically see that asshole laughing in his bedroom!” “Really? I thought he wouldn’t go that far.” Jae’s head met the desk once again, the boy mumbling, “Well, you thought wrong.” ..::A Couple Minutes Later::.. “Quiet down, quiet down.” The teacher approached the podium in front of the classroom, preparing himself to make a speech to the apathetic students who looked at him with disinterest. The short pudgy man cleared his throat. “Alright. As you all know, every year, each homeroom has to make a booth for the school festival. Last year, the winning class got to skip class for half a month. Teachers included. So, let’s be sure to win this time around, okay?” He scanned the room for a second, stopping on the new student sitting leisurely in the back. “Ahh! Yunho! Since you became school president in such a short amount of time, why don’t you think of something? I’m sure our class will win with your clever ideas. I’ll leave the whole thing up to you; assign work, people, whatever you want.” All eyes turned to Yunho, the man dumbfounded with his sudden responsibility. Might as well make the most of this. I’ve already got everyone under my control. He thought for a moment, his eyes glancing at the ceiling as he recalled any good ideas. “How about… a haunted house?” The class quickly erupted in small whispers, each student agreeing with the idea completely. Yunho mentally gave himself a pat on the back, slightly laughing at how much power he has. The teacher raised an eyebrow at the idea as he thought it over. “A haunted house, huh? I suppose that would suffice. Good thinking, Yunho! You aren’t the best student for nothing!” Jaejoong rolled his eyes, secretly wanting to reclaim his title. “So who are you assigning all this work to? Yunho stood up and secretly smirked, directing his eyes to the raven-haired boy sitting in front of him. “Music, costumes, scenery, and the main topic of the haunted house are all assigned to… Kim Jaejoong.” Jae turned around in shock, his glare focused on the sneering man in front of him. His glower clearly had no effect on the man, as the other just smirked at him wickedly before continuing, allowing no protest from the boy. “When the day of the festival comes, I’ll choose roles. The boys will be working inside the haunted house while the girls will dress up and advertise outside.” Yunho sat down, his eyes looking intently at Jaejoong and his lips curling with mirth as the other proceeded to glare back. Considering the student’s idea, the instructor nodded. He turned to the green chalkboard behind him, assigning each student their job. Jaejoong was about to complain about his task, but was cut off when the teacher said, “So Jaejoong, the reputation of this class is in your hands.” The man wrote down “music”, “costumes”, “scenery”, and “topic” on the board, then branched the four to Jaejoong’s name. The class just listened to whatever their teacher said, not daring to object. “As for your role in the booth, Jaejoong… let’s make you a victim, shall we?” He wrote the word “victim” underneath Jaejoong’s name, then added Yunho’s below. “Yunho, you’re in charge of deciding the roles and of the work Jaejoong does. Thank god you two are neighbors. You’re going to have to spend a lot of time together working on the booth.” Yunho’s mouth opened to object, but he said nothing. His throat constricted far too much, currently taking away his ability to speak. “Since your partner’s a victim, let’s make you a vampire! I think that’d fit you perfectly. You’ll be feasting on… Jaejoong. Our victim.” The teacher wrote “vampire” under Yunho’s name, satisfied with their two roles. After all, a beautiful victim had to have a vampire just as handsome as his predator. Yes, these two would be sure to make their booth popular. While the teacher drew a line connecting his and Yunho’s name, Jaejoong gripped the sides of his desk tightly, compelling himself not to scream. Great. Just great. Now, not only do I have to face him everyday at school and at home, but I have to work with him on a project too! Several girls in the class were slightly drooling; swooning from the thought of Yunho dressed up as a sexy vampire. Their fantasies caused their eyes to glaze over, the females envying Jaejoong for his role in the haunted house. Not realizing that half of the class’s attention laid elsewhere, the teacher went on. “Yoochun, you’ll help Junsu with the signs….” The bald man stepped back to admire his work, wiping his hand from the chalk residue. The green board was filled with a network of names and roles, creating a sort of spider web trailing across the wall. He turned to the class once again, his face painted with an almost scheming smile. “Let’s win this year, alright?” ..::Scene Change::..
Jaejoong dashed out of class with Yoochun and Changmin trailing behind him. Just for this month, they would be forced to stay in the same class for the whole day in order to prepare for the festival. Lunch was even eaten in their classroom! Jaejoong could hardly stand an hour of being with Yunho, now their time together had to be prolonged. Due to their high scores, Yunho and Jaejoong had practically every class together, except the latter took music as an elective while the former took up sports. At least in those regular days, they had a break from each other every now and then. Now that the festival was nearing, the two had to be working together for more than half a day! “So hyung, what’s your class doing for the festival?” He turned to Changmin, the younger boy patiently waiting for an answer. “Some haunted house crap,” he mumbled.
Directing his eyes toward his feet, Jae kicked the leaves that fell during the autumn season, muttering softly to himself. “Stupid Yunho and his stupid idea. He could’ve chosen someone else but, no he just had to pick me.” Changmin chuckled behind his hyung’s back, receiving a scowl from the other when he did so. He and Yoochun waved goodbye to Jaejoong as they split up, heading towards the opposite direction. “Hyung?” “Hmm?” “If I told you that I think Jae-hyung and Yunho-hyung don’t really hate each other, what would you say?” He crashed into Yoochun’s back as the man stopped abruptly, Yoochun turning around quickly to give him a weird look. “I’d think you’re crazy, Min.” “But it’s logical enough! If Yunho really hated hyung, then he would’ve ignored him. As for Jae-hyung, he wouldn’t talk about Yunho 24/7; even if it’s just complaining.” Yoochun thought it over, finally noticing how precise the younger’s calculations were. He had to admit that it was really ridiculous how Yunho picked on Jaejoong out of all people. Sure, Jae called him the wrong name. But someone as “nice” as Yunho wouldn’t care about that. “Want to help me figure out their real relationship then?”
A/N: Oh gosh, I haven't been updating in a while >< I'm sorry ^^; Since I am currently uninspired with Fake Love [again, sorry.], I decided to write this up. :D Fake Love should be up sometime this week. Title: Bonds That Shift Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. [Possibility of higher rating in future chapters] Pairings: Jaeho, Yoosu, Keimin Genre: Romance, Drama, Slight angst Summary: Jaejoong's childhood friend, Yunho, moved away when he was little.
Bonds That Shift ..::Chapter 2::.. “Hello, everyone. My name’s Jung Yunho.” Jaejoong’s pencil dropped with a clatter, in shock with the sudden reunion. Yunnie… It’s really him. “Yunho, please sit in the empty seat in the back of Jaejoong and Yoochun. Jaejoong, Yoochun, raise your hands so he knows where his desk is.”
They did so while the whole class stared at Yunho as he walked towards his seat. Jaejoong analyzed him, seeing how much he’s changed over the years. He used to be a very cute boy, and now? He is very handsome. The copper brown of his hair deeply complemented those intense onyx eyes of his and the simple uniform the students wear looked far better on his toned, masculine body. Yunho glared at him, and Jaejoong turned to the side to stop himself from staring, startled with the man’s rude sneer. Doesn’t he remember who I am? Throughout class, Jaejoong compelled himself not to turn around, the constant envying glares from other students and the occasional pokes coming from Yoochun reinforcing it. His back unusually tingled, as if he was being watched. And Yunho? Well, he took great joy in staring at the boy in front of him, sizing him up. It was amusing how the boy’s back suddenly straightened every time he stared at it, growing stiffer if he looked at it too intently. After the continuous literally backbreaking cycle, the bell rang loudly through the room, signaling the beginning of lunch. Many students immediately walked towards the cafeteria while others just stayed in the classroom. “Jaejoong, stay here alright? I’ll call Changmin over and get some lunch for both of us.” Jaejoong nodded as Yoochun left the classroom, directing his eyes to the manipulative girls huddled in the left corner of the room. All the females in the class then stood up unanimously, approaching the newcomer.
“Hey, what’s your name?” “Are you going out with anyone?” “Wanna come with us for lunch?” Yunho smirked inwardly, slightly laughing at how easily the females here could be intrigued. It was even simpler than his last school. He replied their questions with a charming smile, taking his time to answer.
“Jung Yunho, I’m single, and sorry ladies, but I was planning to walk around the school for a bit. Trying to get myself used to the new atmosphere, y’know?” The girls nodded dumbly, not understanding half of what the man said, yet still managed to swoon over his deep voice. The group giggled.
“We’ll give you a tour of the school! We have plenty of time on our hands!” He slightly winced from the high voice, though the man did a great job at hiding it. Yunho just once again, smiled back, his attractive features mesmerizing the girls. “You ladies go ahead. I wouldn’t want to intrude. Besides, I think it’s more enjoyable watching pretty girls from afar.” They giggled and blushed, hesitantly walking away and looking back to give him occasional flirty glances, failing to see the man roll his eyes behind their backs. Jaejoong was stunned at the event that took place behind his back, shocked at the womanizer’s attitude. Is this what 12 years have done to you, Yunho? He turned around unexpectedly, staring at Yunho who just raised an eyebrow, crossing his own arms and staring back. “What happened to you, Yunnie?” Yunho made a gagging face at the name, his eyes turning cold as he stared at the raven-haired boy in front of him.
“Look. I don’t know if that’s your pet name for me or something, but I don’t know you at all...” He didn't know whether Yunho said anything else, because he couldn't focus on anything but the last few words.
He doesn’t know me…? The recollections of the times he spent with Yunho when they were children came back to haunt him for over a year. Perhaps it was fate’s way of saying that their past relationship was over. Maybe each dream that so closely resembled the past were the memories that seemed to have slipped Yunho’s mind. Or maybe fate was trying to tell him that only one of them seemed to remember their relationship. Jaejoong chuckled bitterly. “You don’t know me? I’m Jaejoong…” His voice grew softer, the next word almost inaudible to Yunho’s ears. “Jaejoongie…” Yunho stood up abruptly, looking at Jaejoong in disdain and glaring at the boy coldly before he reached the door. “I don’t know who you are Jaejoongie, but if you want to talk to me, don’t call me so familiarly.” He paused before exiting the classroom, turning to give Jae a nasty smirk. “And it’s Mr. Jung to you.”
Scene Change
“…and judging from the nickname our Jae gave him, I think he knows the guy.” Yoochun and Changmin walked through the school halls littered with students making small talk, the boys each carrying platefuls of food in their hands. Though Changmin was a grade lower than Jaejoong and Yoochun, he still visited their class during breaks and met with them before as well as after school. It might seem a bit weird to have a younger person hang out with them, but he was a great friend as well as a good love counselor. It's a shame he never had any love experience in the first place.
“Jaejoong-hyung knows him? What’s the guy’s name? “Jung Yunho.” Changmin racked his brain, clearly remembering that he heard the name before. Perhaps it was spoken by someone he knew, or he read it somewhere. “The name sounds awfully familiar…” They halted briefly in front of the room as soon as they hear Jaejoong’s familiar voice along with a slightly deeper one. “And it’s Mr. Jung to you.” Yoochun and Changmin looked at each other when they heard the words, their eyes questioning the further trouble Jaejoong has gotten himself into. The owner of said voice then stepped out, giving the two a quick sneer before heading in the opposite direction. That face… the name… it seems so familiar… The pair then walked in, masking their temporary shock with a fake grin, quickly disposing it when they saw Jaejoong’s sad face. Glancing at each other knowingly, they approached their friend, sitting in the nearby desks. “Did something happen, hyung?” Jaejoong glanced up towards the voice, seeing Changmin’s concerned eyes fixated on him. “Ahh… no… nothing Changmin.” They spent a few minutes together eating in silence. It was then quickly broken when Jaejoong finally made up his mind to speak. “Actually… Changmin, Yoochun, if I tell you about something would you support me?” The two nodded unanimously, the raven-haired boy mentally letting out a sigh of relief. “Changmin, do you know Jung Yunho?” Changmin nodded in reply, remembering the sneer the man gave him and Yoochun as he exited the room. He still hasn’t figured out where he recognized the man from. “Well… I told you guys about my childhood friend, right?” “You mean the one that you’ve been dreaming about for an entire year and wouldn’t stop bothering us about? That childhood friend?” Jaejoong gave Yoochun a quick scowl before muttering a “yes” in comply. “What about him?” Unsure of how to describe the situation, he grabbed the hem of his shirt, wringing it as he tried to find out the proper words. “That man… He’s Jung Yunho.” “WHAT?!?!?!” Yoochun and Changmin stood up without prior notice, dropping their forks as they slammed their fists in shock. “You mean that…”
Yoochun pointed a finger towards the direction Yunho headed towards to further emphasize his point. “that snobby asshole was your so-called ‘sweet’ childhood friend when you were younger?”
Jaejoong sighed, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. “Yup. Turns out he’s a complete bitch; an arrogant one at that.” Still yet trying to figure out why the name was so recognizable, Changmin stood next to the table, quickly taking out his laptop when he finally figured out the source. “Yoochun-hyung! Jaejoong-hyung! Look at this!” The two turned towards the younger boy and walked over to stand behind his back, curious as to why their school emblem was posted on the screen.
“My Japanese friend taught me how to hack into the school systems the other day. I was looking through their register in order to see the enlisted students, and I found out that a new student was going to be enrolled.” The screen went black for a while then several windows popped up, on each of them an increasingly long amount of text. Changmin typed several words on the boxes, the browsers disappearing one by one as a new one opened. “Got in.” Moving his mouse to the search engine located on the right side of the screen, Changmin typed in “Jung Yunho”. The site quickly redirected them to another one, finally ending on a rather blank webpage with the man’s pictures as well as academic information and personal data.
“He’s been voted as class president plenty of times, always in the yearbook as best looking, most likely to succeed, most athletic, and plenty of others.”
Changmin scrolled down, passing a couple of paragraphs.
“His father’s the owner of a large company, and Yunho is going to inherit his father’s shares. His grades are part of the higher percentage of the student body, and his popularity is stunning. He has now relocated to a new school, living alone in a small house on…” Turning to look at Jaejoong sympathetically, he continued. “1331 Olive Street.” “Wait… so… Jung Yunho is my neighbor?!”
A/N: Yes, this Jaejoong is so different from the one in my other fic :D The other one's so timid and shy while this Jae... isn't.. :P Like in the other fic, Jae's address is 1333 Olive Street, so Yunho's house is right next to him! x) And no, that isnt my address. Thank you for supporting my new fic :D Please read and enjoy

Title: Fake Love Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. [Possibility of rating being higher] Pairings: Jaeho, Yoosu, Keimin Genre: Romance, Drama, Slight angst Summary: Yunho gets paired up with Kim Jaejoong in a school project. He finds out that his hideous classmate is actually a gorgeous beauty in disguise due to an incident in his past. Yunho then "pretends" to go out with him, falling for him while he's at it. What happens when they think their love is fake? And when Jaejoong's past starts to arise once more? Fake Love .Chapter 11A. “You’re moving in with me.” Jaejoong blinked, stunned at what he just heard. As much as he wanted to move in with Yunho, something just held him back. Perhaps it was the fact that though as protective the man may be, it would be difficult to be around him since Jae would blush 24/7. Just thinking of being close to the man, other than living with him, made the boy nervous. His hands becoming a bit sweaty from both the close physical contact as well as the impromptu question, they clung to the hem of his white uniform, wringing the shirt. “L-live with you?” Yunho nodded, thinking he should give the little boy some space when he saw his flushed cheeks. He sighed, his back leaning on the black leather seat. “We’re already late so I guess we’re skipping school today. I’ll call the school up later. Just stay at my house for now. I’ll get people to move your stuff in.” He then paused in order to look at Jaejoong tenderly, his eyes further softening as he saw the injuries. “I just don’t want you to get hurt.” After what seemed like hours of coaxing him into moving in, Jaejoong reluctantly agreed. Coming home to an empty household didn’t seem very comforting for Jae, especially when the green shards of glass and specks of blood were still littered on the ground. “But… what about your parents?” Yunho scoffed. “Them? They hardly care what I do as long as I inherit their business. They live in the far east wing, so you rarely see them.” Nodding, Jaejoong secretly felt sorry for the man. Their family had problems. But hey, who was he to talk? His sister just went berserk on him a couple minutes ago. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a warm hand pat his head. He looked up, seeing Yunho’s handsome face smile at him. “Sleep, Jaejoong. It’s been a long day.” As if it was a spell, Jaejoong’s eyes soon became half-lidded, slowly drifting off to sleep. Before his eyes closed, Jae lifted Yunho’s arm up, taking comfort next to the man’s chest. Yunho smiled softly, embracing the boy tightly as he slept. ..::Scene Change::.. Yunho-hyung and Jaejoong-hyung left me all alone! Changmin turned to his left, grimacing as he saw Yoochun feed a shy Junsu. Though as nauseating as the cafeteria lunch was, Junsu did a good job disguising his disgust. Perhaps it was because his boyfriend was feeding him; though Changmin couldn’t see why Yoochun needed to. It wasn’t as if Junsu was a two-year-old that was too stubborn to eat. (Despite the fact that he did act like one from time to time.) “Changmin?” He was snapped out of his thoughts by a soft voice. He looked up from his seat, shocked to find that out of all people, it was Furuya Keita that was standing in front of him. Yes, Keita was a “normal” student. Though exceedingly cute, he wasn’t popular like Changmin and the others were. However, Changmin thought it was due to the fact that they were popular that others wouldn’t dare to step up to them. It even got in the way of past relationships with his friends. “Could you help me on my homework?” The boy looked up shyly, softly blushing when he saw Changmin’s intense stare directed at him. Yoochun and Junsu were still feeding each other, though glanced occasionally at the pair, smiling at the adorable sight. Ahh… sweet puppy love. “S-sure…” Changmin jumped off the table, waving to his hyungs as he walked with Keita towards the door. Because of the crowded tables and the congested groups of people chatting, Changmin occasionally brushed his arm over Keita’s, the younger boy trying to hold in a small yelp while controlling his mad blush. ..::Scene Change::.. Yunho gazed at the raven-haired boy resting on the guest bed. His plush lips pouting and eliciting small groans of discomfort in his sleep. Unconsciously caressing the boy’s pallid face with his hand, he quickly drew back when said boy shifted. Jaejoong opened his eyes slowly, feeling a strange sense of comfort all around him. The first thing that greeted him was Yunho’s handsome face, though that caused Jaejoong to yelp, pulling the covers over his head. Oh, right. Yunho brought me to his house. I’m living here now… Jaejoong heard a small chuckle, peeking from behind the white blanket to see Yunho look at him in amusement. Scrunching his nose when the man ruffled his hair, he whined. “Heyyyy. That’s not funny.” In order to further illustrate a point, Jae pouted, staring at Yunho until he put his hands up in defeat. “Alright, Jae. I’m sorry.” Yunho scooted closer on the bed, lightly touching Jaejoong’s nose as the boy squirmed, followed by a soft pinching of the cheeks. “You’re just so cute, Jaejoong.” Staggering back when the boy threw a pillow at him, Yunho walked towards the door, laughing at the boy’s childish ways of solving problems. “I’ll go get us some lunch.” Jaejoong nodded, still blushing from the previous comment. As soon as Yunho headed out the door, the boy slapped his face with the palm of his hand. What have I gotten myself into? A/N: So Livejournal had a power outage or something, which prevented me from posting the chapter up. This is around the time I usually update anyways :D Sorry about the short chapter! I was writing an essay. lol. But to make up for it, I updated the next chapter of Old Ties x) So please read and enjoy~ Thank you for your lovely comments!

Bonds That Shift
Prologue
“Yunnie!” A small five-year-old boy turned around to the sound of his name being called and smiled as he saw his friend ran up to him, a child with raven-black hair roughly around the same age.
The air burst with laugh and giggles as the other ran over, his chubby cheeks rising happily as he smiled at his friend.
“Joongie!” he yelled out in fits full of laughter as the other tried to tickle him in attempt to move him. Those tiny hands kept tickling until the other boy surrendered.
Yunho grinned at him, his face still slightly red from the blood rushing to his face. With no further reluctance, he scooted over to make space for Jaejoong in the sandbox. The other sat down, crouching and watching Yunho’s hands mold the pile in front of him into a sandcastle. “Hey! Get out of the sandbox! I was there first!” A nasty, disgruntled voice. They looked up, seeing the general playground bully. Judging from the tone and the frown on his face, they could tell that this bully was not happy.
He was going to do something to them. Yunho could sense it. He stood up and cautiously moved his small body in front of Jaejoong, protecting his friend just in case something happened. Jaejoong however, had no idea what was happening. He just sat in the sandbox, his wide eyes questioning the current situation. “No you weren’t! We got here before you did!” he heard Yunho retort at the bully.
The bigger boy frowned and at loss of what to do, stomped on Yunho’s sand creation. Yunho growled when he saw his hard work destroyed, but the bully paid no heed. He just smirked and proceeded to wreck it further, kicking up some sand while he was at it. The cloud of dust attacked Jaejoong, his eyes watering as he coughed violently. It was suffocating. What was happening? Why was the bully doing this? Worried, Yunho turned around for a minute, his concerned eyes glancing at his friend. As soon as he saw his poor state, he snapped. The boy bent down and grabbing a handful of the white sand, he threw it at the bully, stomping on his foot all the while. He used his hands to shove the bully out of their territory, pushing him further and further back until the bully tripped over the wooden edges of the box.
“Don’t hurt my friend!” The bully glared up at him then stood up in defeat, brushing his clothes off while he left. He glanced back occassionally to give Yunho a nasty look, but the latter didn't notice at all. He was too busy taking care of Jaejoong.
“Yunnie…?” Yunho glanced down at his friend, Jaejoong pouting slightly while tugging his sleeve. The boy stood up, hugging Yunho affectionately. Giggling for a moment when he saw his friend’s face covered in dirt and sand, Jaejoong smiled gratefully. “Thank you!” The boy just grinned, sitting down as he raked his fingers over the white sand the two were sitting on. As the afternoon sun started setting, the five-year-olds sat in the sandbox, building castles all afternoon.
Chapter 1
Bbbrrriiinnggggg!
The alarm clock rang shrilly throughout the room, echoing slightly yet still failing to reach the occupant’s ears.
The body currently on the bed shifted a bit, its legs kicking the cotton blanket off the side. A raven-haired boy groaned, grabbing his pillow and covering his ears with it in hopes of blocking out the annoying chimes of the clock. Swinging his arm down to grab the blanket that he previously kicked off the bed, he pulled it up and used it to recover any lost warmth but it was to no avail. After being almost deaf by the alarm clock’s cacophonous shrieks, a hand reached out to pound on the snooze button. The occupant of the bed lifted his head just enough to look at the time, dropping again when he found it was too early. He was haunted yet again by memories of his past, and weird enough, the dreams were always related to his childhood friend. It was almost as if fate was telling him that they were destined to meet again. But of course, what were the probabilities of that happening? Looking up at the framed picture on the nearby desk, he smiled as he reminisced about the past. They were smiling widely in the picture, their clothes covered with sand as they sat in the red sandbox. It’s been eleven years since that day, and twelve years since his friend left.
Yunnie…
He still remembered his name, and remnants of the times they shared together. Though a bit hazy, Jaejoong even remembered the day they first met.
I wonder how much he changed…
Sighing, he glanced sleepily at the clock again, and closed his eyes. A few seconds passed, then he shot up.
"WHAT?! 7:45 already?!"
He threw his blankets off and stumbled out of bed as he through his daily morning routine, ending up at the bottom of the stairs just in the nick of time.
“Bye Mom! I’m off!” “Ahh! Jaejoong! Wait!”
But before she could say anything, Jaejoong was already out the door.
“My, that boy is fast. I was just going to tell him that his friend moved back to town!”
The woman shook her head and smiled, heading back into the kitchen.
“Oh, well. There’ll just be a pleasant surprise for him at school today.”
Scene Change
“Jaejoong! You’re here!”
Jaejoong crouched near the door to his classroom, his back bent in order to catch his breath. It's just the same old routine. He wakes up, gets ready, runs to school after he finds out he's almost late, and stands at the exact spot to catch his breath every morning. And that voice? Probably Micky's. He glanced up, and sure enough, saw his friend wave his arms wildly in the midst of the chatty students.
Yep, just the usual. There's the pretty cheerleaders chatting on their cellphone and flirting in the back of the room, next to the jocks and whatnot. Then skipping to the front of the room, there are the nerds. You see them dropping their books occasionally, spending all their time on Pokemon and DDR on Friday nights. Behind them are the band geeks, followed by the "normal" people. And dead in the center is Jaejoong's usual spot, next to his friend, Micky. Yes, they are the center of the universe as you know it. Man, talk about high school stereotypes. Oh, and the teacher? Nowhere to be found.
Jaejoong walked over to the desk near the opposite door, sighing heavily while dropping his bag on the wooden table as he sat down.
“What now, Micky?” he grumbled. His friend just smiled sheepishly, causing Jaejoong to raise the usual eyebrow.
“Can I copy your homework?” "Again?"
Rolling his eyes, he unzipped his backpack, taking out a pile of paper that was last night’s assigned work. Already used to the daily routine, Jae just watched as Yoochun put on his fake frames (that he thought he looked amazingly sexy with) and scribbled away. “Why don’t you just copy your boyfriend’s homework? Trouble in paradise?” he teased.
Jaejoong was startled when his friend’s pen suddenly dropped and he heard a loud bang. Turns out, Yoochun’s forehead immediately met the desk. Jaejoong leaned closer and was about to poke him in concern for his health, but he quickly backed away when he heard the man’s loud wails. “Junsu’s not talking to me, hyung! He’s been giving me the cold shoulder since last week! I didn’t even do anything wrong!!!!!!!!” Wincing at his friend’s state, he reassured him, asking questions about their relationship. Yep, same old, same old. “Are you sure you didn’t? What’d you do last Friday?” He popped up from his condition and turned to Jaejoong, his face unusually stern. “I went out with some random girl. BUT THAT’S NOT THE POINT!!!!" he screamed while shaking Jaejoong by the shoulders. "He’s ignoring me, hyung!” His head hit the table once more. The entire class' eyes traveled down to their area and Jaejoong sighed as he tried to calm his friend down as to not attract further attention. Yoochun, although he was a great friend, was so stupid, it was FRUSTRATING. Wouldn't it be common sense to know not to cheat on your so-called "lover"? For the love of--
“Don’t you think Junsu would’ve thought that you were cheating on him?” Yoochun’s body rose slowly from the desk, as though he were possessed. Jaejoong gulped, thinking that his friend finally came to his senses. Instead, Yoochun just looked at Jaejoong curiously, the imprint of the wooden table still on his forehead.
“Why would he think that?”
Jaejoong almost fell off his chair. “Maybe because you were out with some girl?” He glanced at the ceiling, taking the words Jaejoong said in consideration. “I don’t know. Probably.” Yoochun shrugged. “Anyways… we have a new student. I found out this morning when I saw a huge crowd of girls in front of the office.” Jaejoong copied down the assignment on the board, still quietly engaging in the conversation with his friend. The teacher was out of the room, so he didn’t have to care much about not getting caught. (Which has happened to him plenty of times due to his loud neighbor.) A new student? Finally... something new.
“Oh? So it’s a pretty boy, huh? Looks like you have competition, Micky!” He laughed silently as he heard his friend scoff, too conceited to even consider the fact that there might be someone better looking than him. “Tchh. Whatever. I heard his name’s Jung or something.”
Jaejoong’s heart skipped a beat.
Jung? Maybe it’s…
“We have a new student, everybody!”
The entire class looked up at the teacher in the front of the classroom, a plump old man who always seemed to have a grin on his face.
“Come on in!” he shouted happily towards the door.
The students stood shocked as a handsome young man stepped in, and Jaejoong couldn’t believe his eyes.
The man analyzed everyone in the classroom, his gaze resting longer on a raven-haired boy sitting near the door. He smirked, knowing how quickly he’ll win the school over.
“Hello, everyone. My name’s Jung Yunho.”

Fake Love .Chapter 10. “JAEJOONG! GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!” Jaejoong shivered, hearing his sister’s shrill voice from within his room. She was drunk. Again. Unconsciously rubbing his right shoulder where a former bruise was left, he walked down the stairs slowly, knowing that any sudden noise would cause his sister to scream further. Jaejoong was just getting ready for school, having already dressed in his uniform. His sister tapped her foot patiently at the bottom of the stops, an empty beer bottle in her hands. Having finally reached the bottom, he stared at his feet, not daring to look up at his sister’s eyes. “Y-yes?” She grabbed his wrist, gripping it tightly as he winced from the pain. Dropping the beer bottle, she slapped Jaejoong across the face with her free hand, his cheek slowly becoming red from the impact. “You whore. Who the fuck is this Yunho?” His eyes widened, not knowing that his sister knew of him. (Though she only did because of the roses.) “Yunho is… just a friend of mine.” The girl gritted her teeth, clutching his wrist tighter. “Liar. You already stole my boyfriend, and now there’s another one? Don’t fuck around with me, Jaejoong. Stop whoring yourselves around other men. Fag.” Jaejoong said nothing. His body has already numbed from those continuous harsh words. It made no difference. He heard it all the time. He always felt the same pain. He knew it was his fault, and the thought was tearing him up inside. Even if his sister didn’t become drunk enough to say what she really feels, Jaejoong could tell from her cold eyes that she didn’t want him here. “It’s all your fucking fault, Jaejoong. If you didn’t exist, Mom would still be here. Dad wouldn’t have abandoned us, and we would’ve stayed back at our old place. I would’ve been married to my boyfriend right now, then you just had to fucking seduce him like the whore you are.” She spat more wretched words out, each of them tainted with hatred. “This hell that we live in is all because of you.” Jaejoong backed slowly away, though couldn’t escape his sister’s harsh grip. The older girl was cruel, remembering the injuries he got on the day when their dad left. She tugged on his wrist, the skin already aching and turning a slight purple. She picked up the empty beer bottle, holding it by the neck and smashing the end against the wall. The container shattered, the shards littered across the white tiles. “Since this hell as all because of your pretty face, let’s ruin it, shall we?” She laughed bitterly. Taking the jagged end of the bottle, she scratched his face, the blood dripping down his cheek. Jaejoong wanted everything to scream and fight back, but he knew she was family. He knew he deserved this. A tear slid down his pale skin, mixing in with the crimson liquid as he prayed silently. Yunho… please help me.
..::Scene Change::..
Yunho shivered, feeling an ominous chill in the air as he rode to Jaejoong’s house. He doesn’t know why, but he heard a scream roughly similar to that of Jaejoong’s in his head. “Driver, please speed up a bit.” The man nodded, the car steadily increasing its pace. Yunho sighed, sitting back against the leather seats of the limo. His palms grew sweaty as he worried about Jaejoong. Was he safe? Was he alright? The automobile slowly came to a stop outside a small house, Yunho immediately opening the door and dashing towards it. He rang the doorbell, anxious to see Jae’s face. He wanted to make sure the boy was really safe. The white door creaked open slightly, Jaejoong blocking the entrance in order to cover up any hints of the previous event. “H-hi…” Yunho grabbed his wrist with no warning, Jaejoong wincing from the bruise left there earlier. Hearing a slight whimper come from the other, Yunho looked at the boy’s wrist, seeing a dark bruise slowly forming, becoming at loss of words. He couldn’t process what was happening. All he knew was: Jaejoong’s hurt. Jaejoong’s wrist is bruised. There’s a deep gash on his left cheek. He looks like he’s been crying. Even that was enough. Yunho pulled Jaejoong into his chest, putting his arms around the other’s back and embracing him tightly. He gritted his teeth, his voice trembling with anger. “Tell me who did this to you.” Jaejoong, though touched with Yunho’s consideration, didn’t want to worry him. And even though his sister hurt him, she was still his sister after all. Jaejoong didn’t have the heart to rat her out. “It’s nothing, Yunho. I just… scratched myself on a nail when I fell this morning.” “That still doesn’t explain your bruise.” “…” Yunho let go of the embrace, bringing his hand up to caress the other’s face. Focusing his eyes on Jaejoong’s, his thumb circled the area around the fresh wound, gently touching the soft, delicate skin. “Jaejoong, you make me feel so helpless… I want to protect you. I want to keep you safe from everything that harmed you back then. It’s so hard to do that, when you don’t tell me who’s hurting you.” His heart grew tender seeing Jaejoong’s glistening eyes, and he felt guilty for lecturing the boy. Yunho let out a deep sigh. “Go first, Jaejoong. I’ll meet you in the car.” He nodded, heading towards the limousine. Only when he got in the car seat did he realize that he forgot to close the door to his house, leaving Yunho hints to this morning’s aftermath. Yunho reached for the doorknob, almost closing it when something caught his eye. Green glass shards. A woman passed out with bottles of alcohol by her side. Blood as well as a small dent on the wall near the stairway He closed the door softly, walking to his black limousine parked on the corner. I’m gonna get to the bottom of this. ..::The Next Day::.. Yunho arrived at Jaejoong’s doorstep, about half an hour earlier than arranged. He had his personal butler create an imitation of Jae’s house key, allowing Yunho to sneak in without notice. The man quietly opened the door, peeking first through the crevices in order to see whether anyone was around. He slowly slipped in, choosing the nearby closet, which happened to be right in front of the stairs, as a suitable hiding place. Closing it gently, Yunho allowed a small gap to show, so he could witness what was happening. By smelling the disgusting stench of beer as he entered the door, he could practically sense the impending danger. “JAEJOONG! GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE!” Judging by the high-pitched scream, Yunho could tell that it was a girl. It was most likely Jaejoong’s sister. By the way she slurred her words slightly, he knew that she was drunk. “Yes…?” Jaejoong’s soft voice was enough to make him smile. He looked through the gap, pushing the door further in order to see the current situation. Yunho saw the woman’s harsh grip on Jae’s hand, and his own hand unconsciously clenched at how the lady treated him. He wanted so much to burst out the door and throw her aside, but he wanted to see whether it was really Jaejoong’s sister that caused the boy harm. Yunho tried to control his breathing, feeling that it was too early for them to find out that someone was hidden in the nearby closet. Pressing his ear to the door, he listened to their conversation. “You make me sick…” Cruel words followed that, harsher than the ones Jaejoong witnessed yesterday. She provided enough details for Yunho to analyze the situation the boy was currently in. Is this what Jaejoong has to go through almost every day? Yunho heard a glass bottle shatter, followed by a sudden thud on the wooden floor. As soon as soft whimpers came from behind the door, he knew that this was his cue. The door burst open, Yunho stepping out and heading to the scene. What he saw caused him to go mad. Jaejoong was on the floor, curled up into a ball as tears streamed down his cheeks. His uniform was disheveled, and the deep gash on his arm caused part of the white shirt to be stained a dark crimson red. He was whimpering, his breaths coming in short bursts as his body was littered with green shards. Those dark beautiful eyes of his that were glistening with tears looked dull. Almost dead. Yunho growled, his eyes glaring at the drunk woman beside him. He grabbed her by the neck, gritting his teeth. “If you ever lay a finger on Kim Jaejoong ever again, I will kill you whether you’re his sister or not.” She collapsed on the floor as soon as Yunho dropped her, passing out from the amount of alcohol she consumed. Yunho just sneered, picking Jaejoong up and carrying the trembling boy to the limousine. “Driver, head back to the mansion. Once you get back, have the police arrest the woman living in that household.” “Yes, sir.” Yunho then turned to the boy leaning on his shoulder, his body still trembling. “Jae…?” No answer. Only the dead look in his eyes provided a reply. “Jae, please talk.” Still no response. “Jae, you know I’m going to protect you. You don’t deserve to be treated like that, even if it was your sister. ” Yunho inwardly smiled when he saw Jaejoong’s eyes slowly recover its shine. “Nothing’s ever your fault, Jae. You deserve to be here. You deserve to be loved. It was never your fault. You were just blessed. Blessed that your mother died happy giving birth to you, blessed that your beauty exceeds so many others’, blessed that you have a group of friends that care about you… and blessed.. because you have… me…” Jaejoong turned to look at him, his eyes glistening as a tear fell down his cheek. He threw himself onto Yunho, latching his arms around the man’s neck, crying softly in his chest. “Thank you so much, Yunho... Thank you for always being there…” Though Yunho had no idea as to why he did it, he took Jaejoong’s wrist, brushing his lips softly over the bruised area as he made directed his eyes at the boy. Jaejoong blushed softly from the contact, his breath hitching when he saw the serious look in Yunho’s eyes. Maybe this… Yunho moved closer, kissing the cut on Jaejoong’s face softly while the tingling feeling on Jae’s wrist still lingered.. “You’re not living in that in that wretched house anymore…” Maybe this is the beginning of love?
“You’re moving in with me.”
A/N: I'm sorry I'm late again... it's just... I couldn't update. My dad got into a car accident yesterday, and so I was too caught up in that whole situation. I won't be able to update for a while, since I want to help my family out. Before the accident, we had 2 cars, which were enough for us to get by on. Now, with one, we don't know how we're going to survive for the time being. We don't have much money, and so we have to cut back on some stuff. The latest I update a chapter is a week, so please await the next chapter. I'm very sorry.
As you can see, I have a bad habit of making my characters feel whatever I feel like. I was actually only planning to post the section before "The Next Day" but I didn't want Jae to feel hurt. Yeah... I got problems :\ Sorry for ranting on and on. So please enjoy~ Small revision: 102007

Fake Love .Chapter 9. A week quickly passed, with the same ordinary events planned each day. Yunho and Jaejoong were still “faking” their relationship, Yoochun and Junsu had no idea what else to do next, and Changmin had no progress whatsoever with the boy named Keita. However, today… today was going to be a lucky day. It was when Mission Jaeho AKA Yunjae finally took place. Yoochun created 10 Jaeho plans, each one better than the last. Those trials were all going to be taken place throughout this week. Let’s track their progress, shall we? Day 1 Mission Jaeho: The Date [3-way phone call] YC: Hey, are you guys there yet? JS: I’m here. CM: Me too. (Some muffled chewing and swallowing sounds are heard) YC: Changmin, are you eating again? CM: HEY! I can’t help it! I’m a growing boy! JS: Yeah? Let’s see how Keita will feel when he sees you’ve grown too much. (Width-wise of course.) (Sound of something being thrown in the trash) YC: Ok, so meet me in the bushes in front of the restaurant. Let’s so how this goes. CM: Roger JS: Ok End conversation “Hey! Jaejoong!” Jaejoong turned around, relieved to find someone he knew. “Ahh! Yunho!” Yunho ran up to him, leaning over to catch his breath. He just received a call from Micky saying that they (as well as Junsu, Changmin, and Jaejoong) were going to meet up at the nearby restaurant. He wasn’t exactly descriptive with the event. The phone call earlier at 5:30 “Hey Yunho, we’re meeting up at the Italian restaurant at 6. It’s important; be there. Alright, bye.” And before Yunho could respond, the man hung up! Back to the restaurant The time elapsed, the stars almost visible up in the sky. To the bushes in front of the restaurant “Hey! Stop pushing, hyung!” “Stop stepping on my toe!” “Shhhh!!” Junsu pinched the two on the arm to get them to keep quiet. “Would you guys shut up? I wanna see what happens!” They peeked over the bushes, still seeing Yunho and Jaejoong sitting on the small table located outside the restaurant. Because they were no longer in school, there was no need to hold hands. (Though they had to when they spotted someone from their school coming.) They just chatted a bit, occasionally looking at their watches. “Dammit Yunho, DO SOMETHING!” Junsu quickly covered Yoochun’s mouth with his hand, peering over the leaves in order to see whether Yunho had caught his words. The man just glanced over, then returned to his conversation with Jaejoong. Once his eyes were diverted from their hiding place, Junsu slapped his boyfriend on the shoulder. “You’re the one that thought of this plan in the first place! You can’t blame them for not doing anything!” Meanwhile… “It’s getting pretty late…” Yunho nodded, taking a quick glimpse at his watch for the hundredth time that day. The nearby waiter passed by, leaving a small note on the table. “To Yunho and Jaejoong: Sorry we can’t be there. We were about to leave the house then some stuff came up. Sorry guys! Hang out with each other there! -Yoochun, Junsu, Changmin” “Now they tell us.” Jaejoong stood up from his chair, grabbing his jacket. “I better go… I have to come home early.” Yunho remembered the scheduled events his father had for him today, though he threw off most of them to attend whatever Micky would call this. Yunho regretted not being able to hang out with Jaejoong, but family comes first. (Though he wish it wouldn’t at times.) “Yeah, me too. Goodbye Jaejoong! I’ll pick you up tomorrow!” Jaejoong turned around briefly to wave goodbye to Yunho, already starting his walk home. “See what your stupid note did!” “Shut up, Changmin! If it weren’t for me, they wouldn’t have seen each other today!” Several citizens glanced at the talking bush curiously, then quickly returned to their business. “Aughh… let’s just leave.” Junsu glanced at his cellphone, 7:30 flashing brightly against the dim screen. They all stood up and left, upset that the first trial was a failure. As the three reached their separate houses, each ringtone was heard. “Hello?” “Hello?” “Ahh! Junsu! Changmin! Don’t forget! Trial 2 is taking place tomorrow!” They flipped their phones closed with a loud huff, getting ready for the next trial tomorrow morning. Jaeho Trial 1: Failure ..::Scene Change::.. Day 2 Mission Jaeho: The Confession “Hyung! Hide your caller ID!” Yoochun and Changmin were peering behind Junsu’s back, the boy changing the settings on his cellphone. “Ok! Why do I have to do it, anyways? Why not Minnie?” “Because you know how to fake your voice better.” Changmin grinned at his hyung, nearly feeling sorry for him, though quickly threw that thought aside. Better Junsu than himself, right? “Leave it on speaker.” The room quickly grew silent when they heard the phone ringing, waiting for the other to pick up. “Hello?” “Yunho, it’s Jaejoong.” The three heard some muffled voices in the background and the constant shifting of the phone. Judging from the how his voice resonated, Yoochun assumed the man was in the hall. His father probably forced him to attend some of his business meetings. His father wanted him to go also, but like always, Yoochun just made some simple excuse in order to not attend them. “Is something wrong, Jae? Your voice sounds different.” “U-ummm…” Changmin made a coughing gesture with his hand to Junsu, the other immediately understanding. “Y-yeah, I’m a bit sick…” He faked his cough, relieved when he heard Yunho believe him completely. “Listen, Yunho… I need to tell you something.” The other line paused for a minute, the static making a comforting background noise to the low voice. “What is it, Jae?” “I…” Junsu stole a glance at Yoochun, unsure of what to say. The man just motioned for him to continue on with the plan, though Junsu was starting to doubt whether it would truly work out. Nibbling on his bottom lip for a moment, he carried on. “I li—” “I’m sorry, Jaejoong. I’m a bit busy right now. I have to go to this business meeting or whatever. Listen, tell me at school tomorrow alright? Bye!” Yunho ended the call, and all they heard was the echoing sound of the dial tone through Junsu’s phone, the boy flipping it closed, sighing deeply in dissatisfaction. Yoochun scratched at his head rigorously, frustrated by how his best friend, though oblivious to their mission, always seems to mess everything up! He’s working extra-hard to get Yunho and Jaejoong to finally go out (like Yunho wants), yet it was always him that seemed to stop their plan from progressing! “I knew this wasn’t gonna work. And besides, if Yunho did say yes, how would Jaejoong know anything about it? Even if they were actually going out, he’ll still think it’s fake since Yunho’s the only one that knows.” He took what Changmin said in consideration. He admitted that he didn’t plan to think ahead that far. Yoochun just figured that once the two stopped being so stubborn and got together, everything would flow smoothly. “So…” Junsu and Changmin looked up at him, eagerly hoping that Yoochun would call off the mission. (Or at least think of a better plan.) “We’ll meet at my house after school. Plan 3 is starting tomorrow.” Before the two could object, Yoochun stood up and left, his eyes glazed over with exhaustion. Jaeho Trial 2: Failure ..::Scene Change::.. Day 3 Mission Jaeho: The Flowers “Hello! I want to make a shipment of a dozen red roses. Please send it to 1333 Olive Street. Oh, and regarding the note on the flower, can you please write “I love you” followed by the name Yunho? Yes. Thank you.” Flipping his cell phone closed, Yoochun let out a heavy sigh. “Man, getting them together is hard work.” The other two just nodded, being victims of Yoochun’s recent trials. (Which proved to be horrible failures.) They were currently in one of Yoochun’s many cars, parked in the house next to Jaejoong’s. The three waited patiently in front of Jaejoong’s house for half an hour, peering from their seat as soon as they saw the familiar truck park in front of his house. A man stepped off of the automobile, a basket full of roses in his hand. He left it on the doorstep, ringing the doorbell as he quickly ran back to his vehicle, driving off. They directed their attention to Jaejoong’s house, seeing the door open slightly. Instead of Jaejoong, a girl stepped out. It was probably his sister judging by her similar features. The three were almost fooled into thinking it was Jae, but they knew that his beauty far exceeds that of any girl. Junsu, Changmin, and Yoochun peered over the leather seat, seeing her pick up the basket. She carefully examined the roses, coming across a light pink piece of paper. Taking a quick glance at it, she threw the paper in the bushes, then walked in the house. “THAT LITTLE BI—” He was cut off when Junsu jabbed him in the ribs with his elbow, reminding him to keep quiet. “She took Jaejoong’s roses! We wasted our money on that! ” They each turned around again, sighing in frustration. “Looks like Trial 3 is a no.” Junsu and Yoochun nodded, staying silent for a couple of minutes. “We’re meeting at the park tomorrow. Be there at 12:00. Driver, take us back to our separate houses.” Jaeho Trial 3: Failure Day 4 Mission Jaeho: The Movies “Yoochun, Junsu, Changmin!” The three looked up, glad to see Yunho and Jaejoong arrive. The previous trials were failures, but this one, Yoochun was sure that they would become closer. He just had a hunch that it would. Junsu and Changmin however, were pretty sure it would end up like the first two tries. They met at the arranged park, only to have Yoochun say, “Call Jaejoong and Yunho. We’re going to the movies.” They couldn’t help but wonder what Yoochun’s oh-so intelligent plan was this time. “So… what are we watching?” Yoochun pointed up at the bold letters on top of the theatre, the word reading, “The Exorcist” Jaejoong’s face visibly paled, being terrified of scary movies. On impulse, he grabbed Yunho’s arms securely, his grip tightening. Yunho looked worriedly down at Jaejoong, surprised that the boy was already trembling even before they walked in. “Guys, are you sure we should watch this? I don’t think Jaejoong likes scary movies.” “Oh, don’t worry. If he gets really scared, he could just hold on to you. You’re his boyfriend after all, right?” Junsu and Changmin nodded along, finally understanding what Yoochun was trying to do. The three inwardly cackled, feeling oh-so mischievous with their plans. Jaejoong’s grip on Yunho’s arm didn’t loosen as they walked into the theatre. The room was dim and the only light provided was the fragmented pixels of the movie on the screen. The group chose the seats in the back, Yoochun remembering to leave a seat between them and the pair. He wouldn’t want to intrude in their… intimate moments. Heck, they might even go as far enough as to making out… I said might. The room soon fell to a quiet hush when the movie came up, save for the occasional munching and slurping and a slight whimper from the back row. A Couple Minutes Later “Yunho! I’m scared!” Yunho hushed the poor boy, reassuring him with his words. “Shhhh… Jaejoong, it’s alright.” The three on the other side stole glances at them occasionally, mentally giving themselves a pat on the back (or Micky’s) for thinking of this clever plan. Everyone was completely engrossed in the movie except the back row, in which Jaejoong wanted everything to drown the wretched sound out, Yunho too worried about Jae to care, and the other 3 finding their friends’ current state more exciting than the movie. Upon hearing a girl scream, Jaejoong whimpered, burying his face into the crook of Yunho’s neck. The boy was practically sitting on his lap, and his hands were still gripping the other’s arm tightly. Yunho unknowingly put his arm around Jae, pulling him closer in order to comfort the boy. Yunho couldn’t help but feel guilty that he was enjoying Jaejoong’s contact. The other boy however, was trembling too much to notice their closeness. Bringing his mouth to the other’s ears, he soothed him, whispering words of encouragement. “It’s almost over, Jae.” Yunho smiled softly when Jaejoong nodded into his chest, his clutch temporarily releasing, only to wind around Yunho’s neck. The boy tried drowning out the deafening screams, listening to Yunho’s comforting heartbeat instead. The rhythmic beating was soon replaced with music when the other took out his mp3 player, taking the earphones and placing each of them in Jaejoong’s ears. Yoochun, Junsu, and Changmin practically melted from their hyungs’ situation, the scene almost sickeningly sweet. In the spur of the moment, Junsu hesitantly held Yoochun’s hands, the other looking at him from the sudden contact. Yoochun could see the faint blush on the other’s cheeks. He smiled at the boy, clasping their hands tighter. The movie soon came to an end, every single person leaving the room except the five in the back, each too occupied with their own actions to notice. “Yunho?” The man looked down at Jaejoong, his eyes softening when he saw the gorgeous face staring up at him. The screen added just the faintest amount of light to his skin, causing his beauty to glow in the blue tint. It served to make him mysterious, almost deathly beautiful. Yunho quickly snapped out of his thoughts when Jaejoong shifted his body, reminding him to respond. “Hmmm?” Jaejoong’s face flushed a bit, and for once, he was actually glad that the room was dark. Their bodies were pressed firmly against each other, Jaejoong finally noticing that they were just too close. He quickly got up from Yunho’s lap, flustered from their contact. “Th-thank you, Yunho.” He smiled at him, the other replying back with an equally bright one of his own. Being with Yunho was the first time in his life that he had felt so safe and secure. Yunho’s arms were almost like a sanctuary to him, the arms providing a wall of comfort he knew he would never get anywhere else. Even Yunho’s heartbeat seemed to soothe him. The rhythmic pounding was sexy, in a way. Judging by today’s events, Jaejoong knew that these 4 people were ones that he could trust completely. They would never throw him aside, and he was sure of it. He felt a little something special for each of them, and when Yunho’s by his side, his heart just bursts with heat. He knew he has fallen hard for the man, but for now, he’s just content with the fake relationship they have. Who knows? Maybe it’ll turn into something more. Jaeho Trial 4: Surprisingly Successful

Title: Fake Love Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG-13 for swearing. He finds out that his hideous classmate is actually a gorgeous beauty in disguise due to an incident in his past. Yunho then "pretends" to go out with him, falling for him while he's at it. What happens when they think their love is fake? And when Jaejoong's past starts to arise once more?
Fake Love .Chapter 8. “Jaejoong, meet Park Yoochun.” Jaejoong, who was currently hiding behind Yunho’s back, peeked out just enough to murmur a soft “hi”. Yoochun smiled at the boy, his heart slightly melting from his shy and meek demeanor. “Ahh… forgive me for my rudeness yesterday. I didn’t even ask for your name! I hope we can become good friends from now on.” Yunho quirked an eyebrow at his friend’s sudden formality, though said nothing. “Y-Yoochu—” “Call me Micky.” Jaejoong blinked for a moment, then continued with his words. “Ummm… Micky. Thank you. You’re very kind” Glad to find that Jaejoong was no longer hiding behind Yunho’s back, he returned the soft smile the boy gave him. Why would anyone pick on him of all people? Yoochun sized him up, carefully analyzing all the details. The boy didn’t fake his timid behavior like a lot of girls he knew. He was probably naturally like that, now that he’s been picked on so much. Jaejoong most likely didn’t have an older brother, as his looks appeared feminine. Finding no legit reason for his misfortune, Yoochun then felt sympathy for the boy. I guess bad things do usually happen to good people. Yunho cleared his throat loudly. “Ahem. Micky, if you could staring at my boyfriend for a second, I believe you’ll finally be in class on time for once.” With that being said, Yoochun quickly glanced at the expensive watch on his wrist, muttering a rather loud “oh shit” as he ran through the hallway. Along with the resonating footsteps, Yoochun’s echoing voice was also heard. “Meet with me for lunch! I’ll introduce you to the rest of the crew!” “Okay…” But that last word was lost when the bell rang with its shrill sound. “Come on, Jaejoong! Let’s go!” Jaejoong turned to see Yunho beaming at him, an outstretched hand awaiting his reply. Nodding and smiling in return, Jaejoong took it, prepared for whatever event the day throws at him. ..::Scene Change::.. “Got it?” Yoochun asked his two friends [one being his boyfriend] sitting on the lunch bench with him, the pair currently rethinking the plan. “Wait… so Yunho and Jaejoong aren’t really going out? Who’s Jaejoong, anyways?” Changmin slapped Junsu playfully on the shoulder, replying to his dimwitted questions. “Ahh… you’re so slow Junsu-hyung. You really need to be up-to-date with the events at school. Yunho-hyung and Jaejoong-hyung are pretending to go out for some unknown reason, but Yunho-hyung actually likes him. We’re trying to get them to actually date… right?” He looked hesitantly up at Yoochun, who nodded in confirmation. “Right, Changmin. Yunho’s going out with him in order to ‘protect’ him. I don’t see why he needed to. I think he’s fallen hard for the boy. Anyways. Jaejoong has gone through a lot, so it’s our job to get them together!” Junsu analyzed the situation further. He couldn’t help but be curious of the two’s current relationship. “But what if Jaejoong doesn’t like him? And if he’s not a good choice for Yunho…?” Yoochun turned to his boyfriend, chuckling at how clueless the boy was. “Trust me, Junsu. Jaejoong likes him. I can see it in his eyes. They go together like salt and pepper; like ketchup and mustard. Like you and me.” The boy’s face tinted pink at the last sentence, the other smug with his clever words. “Just wait. When you see them, you’ll know it. They just… click.” “So…” The two turned to Changmin, the boy nibbling on his lips, staring at the ceiling in order to recall his last thought. “Let’s call this Mission Jaeho AKA Yunjae then for a secret code.” “Why Yunjae?” “Why Jaeho?” Smacking his forehead with his palm, he was almost skeptical that he was younger than his hyungs. He soon dismissed the thought as unnecessary and went on. “It comes from their name. Yun from Yunho and Jae from Jaejoong. Ho from Yunho for Jaeho…” “Ohhhhh.” He sighed, glad that the two finally grasped the concept. “So Mission Jaeho is a go?” Yoochun placed his hand in the center of their small circle, the other two’s shortly joining him. Junsu spoke for the both of them. “Yep.” “Ahh… I think that’s them right now.” ..::Scene Change::.. The famous couple walked through the school cafeteria, as many students stopped chattering and gazed at the pair. Others continued talking, though gave them an occasional glace as they treaded over to the table in the far corner. Weird location? Maybe, but though popular, Yunho’s group weren’t like the others. I guess you could almost say that they had a much higher status. They weren’t one that were too enveloped in hubris, though there were times when that happened. Their little table was adjacent to the opposite entrance, as they didn’t want to attract so much attention. Besides, it would be easier to talk without fangirls listening in on their conversations. You could suppose that they’re one of those… “special” groups. You see, all of them had different traits. One is young, yet ridiculously smart. Another is a soccer fanatic and his cute traits bypassed that of any girl. The other person is, or was, a well-known player who knew the secret to capturing the hearts of women. And the leader was perfect. Whatever you’d want in a man, he’d have it. (Regarding personality, of course.) Though as flawless as the group may seem, there always seemed to be something missing. Now, throw in Jaejoong and make each boy fall helplessly in love, and you’ve got something good. Jaejoong and Yunho walked towards the far entrance, their hands entwined once again. Though Yunho was used to the long hike towards the opposite side, somehow, the off-white tiles on the floor served to make the trip seem even longer. And the direction the wretched lights were focused caused the attention of every student to be on them. Yunho cursed it; hastening, he was oblivious to how many times Jae stumbled trying to catch up. What kind of genius made the light face the center of the room? Their destination was soon reached, Jaejoong panting from the [not-so] long trip. Junsu closely examined him, completely agreeing that they made a very good couple. Yunho was like a knight in shining armor, while Jaejoong a damsel in distress. Alright, not so much. But the main idea’s still there! While meek, fragile Jae needed someone to protect him, guess what Yunho’s good at doing? Protecting. Heck, a lot of girls went out with Yunho just to have him beat up the people causing them problems. I know… thoughtless. (But of course, it was no better than the ones that became his girlfriend just for his looks or money. Increasing their reputation was a must.) So they both had their fair share of bad relationships. He needed someone trustworthy. Someone that deserved such a good guy like him. And Jaejoong? He needed someone that wouldn’t hurt him, and would protect him in return. Junsu thought they were perfect for each other, being flawless themselves. Becoming a bit envious from how their hands seemed to fit together like two halves of a whole, Junsu himself began to wonder whether he and Yoochun would ever be able to become like them. The thought soon disintegrated when he remembered that this was why he and Changmin were here. They along with Micky were supposed to make their relationship flawless. He temporarily forgot that they were faking it after all. It looked too real, though almost too good to be true. Though as happy as Junsu was in helping Yunho and Jaejoong get together, he started to doubt that his relationship with Yoochun wasn’t getting any further. “Jaejoong, meet Junsu.” Junsu blinked, coming out of his thoughts for a second, and directed his attention to the shy boy in front of him. “H-hi…” Smiling, he greeted him back. He seems nice. Shy maybe, but nice nonetheless. “Hello!” Yoochun smiled, happy that his boyfriend likes the newcomer. Turning to the side, he introduced Jaejoong to the younger boy currently devouring his food. “And this is Changmin.” “Hello Jaejoong-hyung!” He looked at the two of them, his eyebrow quirked as he glanced back and forth. “I’m guessing you guys already know each other.” “Ahaha… yeah… I’m kinda the reason why everyone knows that Yunho’s new boyfriend is Kim Jaejoong.” Changmin smiled sheepishly, running around the table with his lunch in hand, eating as he tryed to evade Yunho and Yoochun’s grasp. The all-new group of five then conversed, coaxing Jaejoong to talk a little bit more instead of just shying away. The lunch bell soon dismissed the break as over, each of them going their separate ways. Yunho and Jaejoong treaded through the halls, each content with the fun little encounter earlier. “So, what do you think of them?” Their fingers were once again weaved together, the pair walking to their next class. “They’re… nice.” Yunho squeezed Jaejoong’s hand softly, his bright teeth beaming as he grinned at Jae. The other just smiled, happy that he finally made some new friends</span>

Fake Love .Chapter 7. “There is someone here to see you, Yunho-ssi.” Yunho looked up from his book, seeing his butler patiently wait for his response. “Ahh… yes. Thank you. Send him in.” “Yes, Yunho-ssi.” He returned to his reading in temporary silence, only to be interrupted by a booming voice. “Yunho!” Immediately dropping his book, he got up from his chair, standing in order to greet his friend. “Micky! Hey! What brings you here?” Yoochun rubbed the back of his neck, putting his other hand in the pocket of his jeans. “My dad wants to talk something about money with your dad or something. I don’t know. I don’t really pay attention to whatever he says.” Chuckling at his friend’s usual apathetic tone, he grabbed a nearby leather chair, motioning for Yoochun to sit down. “So… still chasing after Junsu?” The neighboring chair squeaked from shifting of weight, followed by the occupant’s heavy sigh. “No, actually. He confessed to me yesterday.” “Oh? And what’s with that sigh? Did you turn him down or something?” Yoochun shot up from his chair when hearing Yunho’s last sentence. “WHAT?!?! No! Of course not! It’s just… I’ve been chasing after him for a year now. I threw away my entire reputation just to try to get him to like me. And now that he does, I don’t know what else to do… I’ve been so focused on having him accept me that I didn’t think about how it would work out if he actually did…” Pulling his legs up on the black chair, Yoochun covered his head, resting it on his knees. He sulked, desperately wishing that just doing so would make his problems disappear. Yoochun waited patiently for his friend to respond, though if he didn’t, the man was still relieved to know that someone close to him knew about his problems. It eased his burden, in a way. “So you’re going out, and you don’t know what to do?” Yunho took his friend’s silence as a yes, chuckling when he saw his frustrated state. “Park Yoochun, the popular guy with the player status doesn’t know how to go out with someone. Isn’t this rare?” The man lifted his head high enough to scowl at Yunho, the other just smirking back. “Well… I guess just go out with him like you did with other girls. Without going out with several others at the same time, of course. Or if you really don’t know, just talk to him or something. I don’t know. I’m not really good with this type of stuff.” Rubbing the back of his neck and smiling sheepishly, he grabbed the nearby cup of tea on his polished, wooden desk, taking a long sip. “Good? Tch. Says the guy going out Kim Jaejoong, who just happens to be gorgeous.” Yunho choked on his tea, spitting out the liquid as fast as he drank it. He pounded on his chest with his fist, coughing loudly. “You know what? What happened to you, Yunho? You used to be like me! Everything’s just for popularity. Smiles, relationships, words… whatever happened to not believing in love or whatever?” Yunho didn’t respond to the question, changing the subject. “Hey, Micky. If I tell you something, will you promise not to tell others or treat Jae differently because of it?” Curious from what he had to say, Yoochun shrugged. “Yeah, sure.” ..::A conversation about Jaejoong’s past, later.::.. “WHAT THE FUCK?!?!” Yunho nodded sadly, staring at the intricate patterns on the carpet below. “Yeah, I know,” he mumbled. Scratching rigorously at his head, Yoochun tried to absorb all of the information in. He couldn’t help but feel pity on Jaejoong, but like Yunho, wanted to protect him. “Introduce me to him again, tomorrow. I want to help him too. That way, he’ll not only have his ‘boyfriend’ protecting him, he’ll have a friend too.” “Yeah… I will.” Yunho smiled, thankful for his friend’s kindness. “But hey, do you really think of Jaejoong only as a friend?” Blood immediately rushed to Yunho’s face, causing his friend to notice the rather obvious tint. Yoochun secretly smirked, though was curious as to why he couldn’t just go out with Jaejoong truthfully instead of “faking” it. “I… well…” “Come on, man. You’ve gotta feel something for the boy. I know you just go out with pretty faces and all, but what about him? He seems way different from Seulgi…” Shifting on his chair, Yunho grabbed his tea again, hoping it will ease the dry throat he got whenever he thought of Jaejoong. “Fine, but don’t tell anyone. It’s… kinda complicated, actually. I really feel like I’m in love with him, but I can’t actually go out with him.” Answered with an intent stare, he went on. “He’s been hurt, so I want him to trust me first. I don’t even think he likes me in that way yet.” Yoochun smacked himself upside the head, feeling as if he was the one responsible for his friend’s stupidity. “That’s why you make him like you. Sheesh. Haven’t I taught you anything? It’s not that complicated.” “But still…” Yunho stared up at the ceiling, trying to accumulate his thoughts. Why did I offer to “go out” with him anyways? Couldn’t I have just offered support as a friend, instead? So many questions ran through his head, Yunho trying to rack his brain for more thoughts. Though different, all of it arrived at one conclusion. I think I’m in love with Kim Jaejoong. Of course, it wasn’t exactly a surprise. Though a “fake” relationship, it was a relationship nonetheless, and both Yunho and Jaejoong seemed to radiate a… couple-ish aura. They just had so much chemistry. If you were just to look at the two, you would say, “Ahh, so this is pure love.” It doesn’t matter what gender they were. It doesn’t matter of their different social statuses. It doesn’t even matter whether their love is fake or not, because right now, it’s real. Even though Yunho was deeply in love with Jaejoong (and the other the same, though Yunho has no clue), the latter still believed that it was all just an act. Yes, it was. [Though that could be changed in the blink of an eye if they were just to confess to each other.] But of course, if they were, this story would be over too quickly. Correction: Their story would be over to quickly. So for now, they’re forced to love each other, yet still remain oblivious to their partner’s actual feelings for them. Love is definitely cruel. So… carrying on. Yoochun waved his hand in front of Yunho’s un-blinking eyes, resorting to shaking the man wildly when he didn’t respond. “Anyways. Like I said, it’s not that complicated. Sure, he many need someone to protect him; he needs someone to love him too.” Yunho scratched at his head, taking what his friend said to him in consideration. “I do… but I want him to know that whether we’re really going out or not, I’ll be there to protect him.” Sighing at his friend’s stubbornness, Yoochun got up from his chair, patting his friend’s shoulder in sympathy. “Good luck with your future relationship, buddy. I’ll be rooting for you. Maybe you should take some tips from me and Junsu.” Laughing when Yunho annoyingly took his cup and tried to splash tea on him (and missed), he took his leave. “Leaving so soon Mr. Park?” Yoochun smiled at the butler, saying yes in reply. As soon as he got on the other side of the wooden door, he stood at the steps a bit, analyzing the conversation he just had with Yunho. I’ll get Junsu and Changmin on this. Just watch, Yunho. You and Jaejoong will be together in no time. But I guess it’s easier said than done.

Fake Love .Chapter 6. Yunho’s hands visibly clenched over one of the chair’s many pieces, his fingers tensed and his knuckles bone-white. “WHO THE FUCK DID THIS?!?!?!” The students’ small chatter stopped as soon as they heard Yunho’s enraged voice resonating against the white walls of the classroom. “I-I knew this would happen… Please, Yunho… just forget about this whole thing.” Yunho turned to the soft words, his angry eyes turned tender as he saw Jaejoong’s persisting ones stare back at him. His beautiful doe-like eyes were glazed over with unshed tears, and his hand clenched Yunho’s arm with insecurity, pleading the man to subside. Jaejoong’s current fragile state just infuriated him further because he felt helpless. He wants to do whatever is in his power in order to protect the boy, but he can’t even stop this. He didn’t deserve this. “No, Jaejoong… I will find the person who did this to you. And when I do, I’ll make them pay.” Jaejoong doesn’t deserve any of these cruel words. Yunho growled at the gaping crowd in retribution, swallowing his spawned anger for Jaejoong’s benefit. He then tugged the boy by his wrist, pulling him to the back of the room where his own desk was. “Sit, Jaejoong.” “Huh? But… this is someone else’s desk…” Throwing a glare at the person currently occupying the seat next to his table, Yunho grumbled. “Hey, you.” “Y-yes, Yunho-ssi?” “Sit somewhere else. My boyfriend’s sitting here.” “B-but… Yunho!” The boy had a fleeting questioning look on his face, but quickly wiped it off and complied with Yunho’s demands, knowing of the man’s prominent (and very rich) family. “No… it’s fine, Jaejoong-ssi.” “B-but…” The boy got up from his chair, Jaejoong mouthing sorry to him as he passed by, the other replying with a soft smile. “Yunho… that was mean.” Yunho glanced up at Jaejoong, who still hasn’t yet taken a seat. “Mean? That’s not mean, Jaejoong. Mean, is when people write stuff about you and destroy your property.” He clenched his teeth as he turned back to Jaejoong’s desk (or rather, lack thereof), seeing the charred rubble on the ground. “I swear I will find the person that did that.” Jaejoong was speechless. Not once in his life, has he had someone standing up for him. Bad things happened all the time, it just happened to him more usual than others. He has gotten far used to this, so adapted to it that he became numb. He gazed at the man before him, admiring his qualities. Not only was the man mature and independent, he was caring and he stood up for what he thought was right. Usually, when taking a first impression of him, you’d think he was cold and distant. Maybe even arrogant. But his aura… it was so warm and kind. Without realizing it, Jaejoong had grown closer to the man, falling for him. Taking a few steps closer to Yunho, Jaejoong wrapped his arms around the other’s neck, hugging him tightly. “Jae?” “Thank you, Yunho.” Yunho had no clue as to what the thanks were for, but nevertheless smiled back, wrapping his arms around Jaejoong. Closing his eyes, Jae drowned himself in the warm body heat radiating off of the other. It was amazing how Yunho’s arms could make him feel so safe and secure… Relishing in the moment, Yunho whispered into Jaejoong’s ear, the raven-haired boy letting out a soft sigh. “I will do all I can to protect you, Jaejoong. I promise.” Scene Change “UGH!!!! That BITCH!!!” Seulgi kicked a nearby locker, its metal echo vibrating through the empty hallway, letting out a loud huff. It was exceedingly fun burning down Jaejoong’s desk and trashing his belongings. She even took extra care as to disguising her writing when tagging the disassembled chair. Just when she thought everything was worth it, she walked by Jaejoong and Yunho’s class, seeing the two in a tight embrace. “Jung Yunho was fucken MINE! Then that BITCH just had to steal him!” Seulgi continued muttering swear words, kicking random objects as she walked. “Umm… Seulgi…?” “WHAT?!?! Ayumi winced from her friend’s constant mumbling and yelling. “I heard they’re not actually going out with each other, so just chill. They’ll get sick of each other sooner or later.” Seulgi turned to her friend, sneering in response. “Tch. Easy for you to say. Your old boyfriend didn’t suddenly turn gay on you and went out with another guy.” “Didn’t he dump you?”, Stephanie blurted out. She then focused her eyes on the girl, annoyed by her offensive yet true words. “Shut up.” Ayumi and Stephanie looked at each other, shrugging at their friend’s attitude. As soon as Seulgi turned back around and went on with kicking whatever was in sight, Stephanie turned and whispered to Ayumi. “I don’t wanna be a bitch, but don’t you think Yunho looks way better with Jaejoong than her?” Ayumi was a bit surprised at her friend’s truthful statement, though agreed completely. “I know. I mean, he’d totally pass for a girl. I’m so jealous, but he doesn’t look like the type that’d steal a guy.” Stephanie nodded. “Hey, is it really true that they’re not actually going out with each other?” They glanced up, making sure Seulgi wasn’t eavesdropping. Even if she wasn’t a very good friend, she was still a friend, and they wouldn’t dare betray her. Her family can do a lot of scary things. Finally noticing the absence of Seulgi, they ran down the halls, catching up with her. Ayumi then took that time to whisper back in response. “I don’t know… but I really don’t think what they have for each other is fake.” . Scene Change “So… how’s your relationship with Yoochun-hyung so far?” Changmin licked the crumbs of the delicious cake of his fingers, savoring the last remnants of the dessert given to him by Junsu. “I really don’t know…” The boy stared blankly ahead and stared at the, his brain occupied with the current subject. If it weren’t for the words “we’re going out”, Junsu would have no idea if they were or not. “Ahh… puppy love is so sweet.” Junsu slapped his shoulder, laughing at the boy. “You shouldn’t be one to talk. You haven’t even fallen in love yet!” Changmin let out a big grin, his eyes shaping into cute crescent moons. “Oh. Right.” Raising an eyebrow, Junsu asked the boy curiously. “You… haven’t fallen in love… right?” With that, Changmin sighed deeply, combing his fingers through his matted chestnut brown hair. “I really don’t know, hyung… I really don’t know…” They both stared out at the scenery ahead of them, captivated by how well each aspect complemented the other. The chirping of birds was muffled by the great expanse of air, and along with the occasional soft rustling of leaves as gentle currents of air wafted through; it created a peaceful symphony of white background noise. The tranquility was quickly broken when Changmin shook him, asking him a rather complicated question. “Hyung, how can you tell if you’ve fallen in love with someone?” “What do you mean by that?” The boy glanced up at the sky sighing deeply, Junsu following his gaze. “I think I’ve fallen in love, but I’m not so sure… What do you feel when you’re in love with Yoochun-hyung?” “Ahhh… so my “love counselor” suddenly needs help of his own, huh?” Junsu chuckled as Changmin sheepishly smiled back at him. “Well… I’m a bit embarrassed to say this, but…” He paused for a moment, gnawing on his lower lip while thinking. “I guess my heart beats really fast whenever I’m near him. I feel as if I can’t breathe sometimes, and I can’t help but to care for him tremendously.” The younger boy nodded, taking his words into consideration. “I guess how you react to love depends on what you think of the other person. You might get butterflies in your stomach, become nervous when he or she’s around, and when you’re with them, it’s like the world just revolves around you two.” He turned to the boy next to him, smiling as he saw Changmin’s frustration. “Ahh… I feel a bit awkward for saying all of these things, but that’s pretty much what I think you normally feel when you’ve fallen in love. Sorry, I couldn’t exactly help…” He smiled in reply, suddenly finding his hands to be strangely fascinating. “It’s just enough, hyung. Thanks.” Junsu then stared out at the scenery once again, being deeply engrossed in his thoughts about the current relationship with Yoochun. If it weren’t for small conscious part of his brain, he would’ve missed a soft whisper. “I guess I’m really in love with Keita then…”
A/N: YES! NO ANGSTY ENDING TO A CHAPTER!!!! WOO-HOO!!!! :D I was planning to have Ayumi and Stephanie be just as bitchy as Seulgi is in this fic, but I thought, "Nah... one's enough." So I had them be her friends that secretly approve of Jaeho. :D I know, a bit awkward. So unknowingly, when she hurts Jaejoong, they'll hurt him with her, then when she's gone, they'll help him. I know, a bit confusing, but bear with me >< Junsu didn't meet Jae yet. Nope. Not yet. I was surprised at myself for forgetting to add their relationship with one another. So anywayssssss, enjoy[:

Title: Fake Love [Might change later on] Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG? Pg-13? Might change to NC-17 in future chapters. Pairings: Jaeho [or Yunjae in terms of dominance], Yoosu Genre: Romance, Drama, Light Humor Summary: Yunho gets paired up with Kim Jaejoong in a school project. He finds out that his hideous classmate is actually a gorgeous beauty in disguise due to an incident in his past. Yunho then "pretends" to go out with him, falling for him while he's at it. What happens when they think their love is fake? And when Jaejoong's past starts to arise once more? Fake Love .Chapter 5. The next morning proved to be rather fast. Yunho came to pick up his “boyfriend” as usual, arriving to school with their fingers locked yet again. The student body quickly lost interest in them, yet still looked at them with envy as they walked through the halls. “Ahh… Yunho hyung!” Yunho looked up at Changmin, smiling as the young boy ran up to them. Changmin looked at Yunho, to Jaejoong, then back again. His smile grew wider in seeing the two, accompanied by his trademark mismatched eyes. “Hyung, I never knew you were going out with Kim Jaejoong!” He then directed his gaze to the timid boy beside Yunho. “Wow… you sure look different without your makeup.” The room suddenly burst with loud shrieks of his name. “K-kim JAEJOONG?!?!?!” Several students ran up to the poor boy, trying to touch him in order to see if the statement was true. Jaejoong clutched Yunho’s arm, easing away from the grabby hands of the crowd. Seeing his fragile condition, Yunho glared at Changmin who in return, just smiled back sheepishly. “I t-thought everyone already figured out it! Ahh… sorry, hyung! I…err… need to go to class!” Before Yunho could grab the boy, he ran off, desperately trying to escape the elder’s intent to kill. “It really is Kim Jaejoong!” “Wahh… his skin is so soft! I’m jealous!” “I swear he had plastic surgery!” “Man, what makeup can do to you.” “Jaejoong oppa! Tell me all of your beauty secrets!” “HEY! Back off!” Yunho stepped in front of Jaejoong who was visibly trembling from the raucous crowd and their cruel attention. His arm slipped around Jaejoong protectively, clearly staking his claim. Focusing on each face in the hungry crowd – and resting longer on the students that currently drooled over his property – he growled at them in disdain. “Jaejoong is mine. Do not touch him. You got that?!?!” The students stood slack jawed, shocked with the deadly hint of malice in his words. His eyes were dangerously serious, and all the accumulated crowd could do at that moment was comply with his demand. The mob soon stagnated due to the lack of movement, waiting patiently for the man to take his leave. Yunho, content with the lack of objections, dragged Jaejoong out from the public eye by his arm, tugging him into their next class. Scene Change “Yoochun…m-may I talk to you for a second?” Yoochun directed his head to the boy next to him, surprised at his sudden request; then wondering if his morning tea was a tad too strong, causing a chemical imbalance in the brain that was the unknown trigger of Junsu’s abrupt demand. “…Yoochun?” He blinked, coming out of his senses just long enough to respond. “Uhh.. yeah, sure.” Junsu smiled brightly, turning around and heading to the back of the school. The elder followed him, curious as to what the boy had to say. As soon as they reached their destination, Junsu faced Yoochun, wringing the bottom of his shirt nervously. “Y-Yoochun … I…” “Yes?” “I’m sorry for running away from you so many times… it’s just…” Yoochun’s heart leapt, anxiously wishing that the younger is going to reply to his question. An awkward silence then seemed to swirl around the pair. Like a vortex, it twisted and stretched out time painfully. Both didn’t know what to say… “Junsu… do you like me?” he asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. He lifted his hand, caressing the boy’s face, watching carefully as his cheeks tinted pink. “I like you! A-a lot!” Junsu clasped his mouth with his hand, both he and Yoochun surprised with the unexpected outburst. His blush increasing ten fold, he ran away, oblivious when the elder grabbed his hand. “Junsu…” Yoochun pulled the boy into his chest, embracing him tightly. “Thank you… just… thank you. I couldn’t ask for more.” Junsu’s heart swelled from both the other’s body heat and his sweet yet simplistic words. They released the hug hesitantly, both embarrassed with what just happened earlier. “So… what does this mean?” He was answered by a tender smile. “I don’t know… we’re going out… I…guess.” Junsu blushed coyly, then suddenly becoming aware of the time, took his leave. “I gotta go to class. I’ll see you tomorrow…?” “Yeah…” After a few moment of reluctance, he brushed his lips over Yoochun’s left cheek, dashing away before the man demanded more. Swearing that he would buy a cake for Changmin the next day, Junsu walked through the halls with a big smile and a lingering tint on his face. Scene Change Time passed by quickly with the famous “couple” now attending their very last class of the day. The room was overly crowded, the air seeming more condensed as the students’ foul gossip tainting its clarity. Yunho and Jaejoong had to maneuver their way through the mob, being careful not to trip over any chairs or human bodies [alive, of course] littering the floor. They soon reached their desks, and the two were in for the surprise of their lives. Jaejoong’s desk— or rather, the remains of it— was charred on the edges, a thick venomous black, save for the brown wood, revealing itself through some pieces. The chair was disassembled, its seat and metal poles attached to it laying side by side, along with crude text written on the parts. The textbooks were ripped, looking as though it was chewed by a stray dog in the junkyard nearby. Yunho clenched his teeth, grabbing one of the chair’s pieces, reading the words clearly written on the surface. “Bitch.” “Fuck you.” “Go to hell.” And one clear sentence that really caught Yunho’s eye… “Yunho doesn’t fucking like you, bitch.”
A/N: I'm so SORRY!!!! >< I know, I said I was going to update the next day, but suddenly, I was forced to go to this celebration at 8 in the morning. I came back at around 2, then left 5 minutes later to go buy food. Then we headed straight to another celebration. o_o i came home at 11, which sucked because I had to go to a meeting at 9 in the morning the next day, followed by a piano audition at 2:30. >< im super super super sorry. i hope i can repay you guys by having micky and junsu finally get together :D ahhh... the beginnings of puppy love. dont worry, this story has angst, but it'll end very happily x) [if it ever does end that is. *cough*] anyways.... please enjoy![:

Title: Fake Love [Might change later on] Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG. Will probably change to NC-17 in future chapters.
Fake Love .Chapter 4. Yoochun’s POV I stumbled after Yunho and his boyfriend, shocked at the previous event. I mean, never once have I seen Yunho so… in love with a person. He used to be like me. We pick up pretty girls, go out with them for a while, and dump them. It was pretty much just something to raise our popularity a bit more. Like everyone else, I thought Yunho was faking the relationship. Sure, his boyfriend's gorgeous, but it just seemed like it wasn't real. Well, sorrryyyy. The boy just seemed like an excuse for girls not to obsess over Yunho as usual. At first it’s flattering, but later on, it just gets annoying. Even I get annoyed when girls fawn over me 24/7. While the heavy thought of my friend’s current status burdened my mind, I heard a familiar dolphin-like laugh coming from inside the class. It’s Junsu… I ran inside, pulling said boy by the arm, tugging him outside the classroom. “Yunho, Yunho’s boyfriend, go inside. I’ll meet you guys later. I need to take care of something first.” Yunho quirked an eyebrow at me, but dragged the raven-haired boy inside with no hesitation. Scene Change Yoochun watched as the pair went inside the classroom; then directed his eyes to the boy in front of him. Junsu currently had his hands over his eyes, bracing himself for what was to come. “Made up your mind yet, Junsu?” The other replied with a rapid shaking of his head, trying to make his escape. Yoochun pulled him back against the wall, trapping Junsu between his arms. He leaned closer, forcing the boy to direct his eyes at him. “Junsu, do you like me or not?” The boy just squeezed his eyes shut, placing his hands on Yoochun’s arms; desperately trying to escape the strong hold and the intent stare in the other’s eyes. “Say yes or no.” Yoochun’s husky whisper was right beside his ear, the man’s warm breath on his sensitive neck. Junsu shivered from the closeness, his cheeks tinted pink. He wished dreadfully for the man to stop questioning him, as he had his own reasons as to why he couldn’t reply. Yoochun was growing impatient. Junsu was making him go insane, but all the while, he was becoming more intrigued. The constant chase after the boy however, was causing him to go mad. He would do anything for a straight answer from him, and while there were plenty of tactics to make him comply, (though some were too kinky and the others required hurting him in a way) he didn’t want to hurt Junsu since he appeared to be delicate. The uncomfortable silence was crudely interrupted by the bell’s cacophonous shrieks, signaling the start of class. Yoochun reluctantly let the boy go, Junsu dashing out of his arms with no protest. He let out a heavy sigh—which has been a recurring habit lately—walking slowly back to class. Scene Change; Junsu’s POV “You sure look red. What’d Yoochun do to you this time?” I turned my attention to my friend sitting next to me, Shim Changmin. It was no surprise how he knew the trigger to my sudden blush, seeing as he skipped a few grades. The boy was a genius, having both a high IQ and a high EQ. I hesitantly nodded at him in reply, being answered by a heavy, disgruntled sigh “Y’know hyung, you’re gonna lose him if you keep playing hard to get.” I occupied the seat next to him, curious as to what he had to say. The teacher was missing again, so it was perfectly fine to slack off as usual. “W-what do you mean?” Changmin turned his face towards me, and for once, his dark amber eyes scared me. They’ve seen too much… they know too much. For such a young age, his eyes reflected his inner character. Though innocent, those pools indicated maturity and wisdom. “Don’t you think Yoochun hyung is sick of chasing after you? He’ll think that you won’t like him, and that’s obviously not true. He might give up on you, hyung.” I finally realized the probabilities of such thing happening. I didn’t want him to give up on me. Yoochun was the very first person I think I actually fell in love with. “But… that can’t happen… right? I’m trying to do this to get him to chase after me. When I first met him, I saw how quickly he got rid of girls. I don’t want him to be bored with me and just suddenly dump me like an old toy. But if I were to go out with him, how do I prevent him from not getting sick of me, anyways?” He let out a loud huff, clearly annoyed by my way of evading his words. “I don’t know! Appear on his doorstep naked or something for all I care! Look. If he really loves you, he won’t get sick of you. Yoochun hyung spent a year chasing after you. Don’t you think that’s a bit too long? Normal people would’ve given up by then!” Changmin let out a small inaudible sigh, then reassuring me with a small pat on my shoulder. “Just go out with him already, hyung. Don’t you think he at least deserves that much?” Scene Change Jaejoong laid on his bed, combing his wet hair through with his long fingers. He replayed today’s events in his head, trying to find a flaw in Yunho’s so brilliant plan. Jaejoong was happy with just admiring the man from afar, and now, it proved to be difficult when said man held your hand 24/7 and stole your first kiss. He touched his lips, still feeling the tingle left from Yunho’s impromptu kiss. Just thinking of the man made his heart beat rapidly and his breath cease. Yunho exuded sex at all times, as well as an impressive aura of manliness. He was smart and quick-witted, much different from the people he hung out with—excluding Micky, of course— Not only that, but he was a bit kind too. Jaejoong shifted in his bed, groaning in dismay. Yunho was perfect. And him? He wasn’t. Not at all. He has small flaws on his face, a facial and body structure too feminine to be considered normal, and he’s a freak. Besides… who knew whether Yunho swung that way or not? He ignored the impending notion, determined to try and gain Yunho’s love. A small smile lit on his face when he thought of Yunho’s comforting words. “I won’t do what he did, Jae… Trust me.” The same thought keeps intruding in his mind, demanding attention from the previous events. It was proof. Proof of Yunho’s affection towards him. Maybe Yunho really likes me. The thought was soon dismissed as another interfered. The word dug into his mind like claws into flesh, evident as he again replayed the previous occurrences. Fake. This whole thing is fake.
A/N: I was thinking of what role Changmin should play in this fic, so I just chose him to be the young, wise friend of the four that helps them with their relationship problems :D Maybe he'll meet Keita along the way and have some problems of his own arise, hmm? [; Thank you for all your comments. You guys are so sweet xD Will post up the next chapter tomorrow. Small Revision: 102007

Title: Fake Love [Might change later on] Length: Series Author: Autumn [x_apparition] Rating: PG. Will probably change to NC-17 in future chapters.
Fake Love .Chapter 3B. Jaejoong groggily woke up from his sleep, haunted all night from his treacherous heart’s feelings towards Yunho. I’m so stupid. I gave my heart away once, and look what happened. Now, a guy I got to know barely yesterday is making my heart beat rapidly. A bit sudden, yes, but like everyone else, Jaejoong was forced to admire the man from afar. Yunho was popular, rich, handsome… It’s almost as though Jaejoong envied him. He would have approached him back then, but seeing as how the label “freak” stuck with him, he couldn’t. Odd, but Jaejoong preferred that comment rather than having his heart broken again… He flipped the blanket over, slowly getting out of bed in order to go through his daily morning routine—minus the makeup—and just as he was done touching up his uniform, he heard a long stream of musical chimes coming from the door. “Ahh. That’s probably Yunho.” Jaejoong ran down the carpeted stairs, nearly tripping over his own feet from his excitement. Grabbing his backpack and a muffin, he headed towards the door, swinging it open widely. “Good morning, Jaejoong!” " G-good morning." The man looked awfully chipper today. He looked as stunning as he always did in uniform. Jaejoong could see why so many females swoon over his charm and appearance. Yunho was just so attractive. “Should we go? My ride is parked right over there.” Yunho pointed to a black limousine parked in front of a nearby street pole. The chauffeur sat in the front, waiting patiently for the two to arrive. Jaejoong smiled, happy for the company he missed so long ago. “Let’s go!” Scene Change Two gorgeous men walked through the school hallway, their hands clasped together. They both rivaled each other in beauty, though one’s appearance appeared to be more masculine while the other more feminine. The students standing to the side of the metal lockers were mesmerized by the pair; each of their different traits clearly complemented the other’s. The passage was overflowing with the students’ whispers. “Who’s that guy Yunho’s walking with?” “Is that a new student?” “I think they’re a couple since they’re holding hands and all.” “I’m going to kill myself for saying this, but they look really good together.” “Hey, Yunho! So this is why you didn’t come to my party yesterday! You already had someone! Tch. Single, my ass.” Yunho grinned at his friend then bent down to Jaejoong’s ear. “See? I told you this would work.” The boy just smiled meekly, uncomfortable from the intense stares of their classmates. Yunho squeezed Jaejoong’s hand in reassurance, smiling as he saw Yoochun come into view. Why do I have a feeling Yunho’s plan isn’t going to work? “Yo Yunho! Who’s the kid? Your boyfriend?” Yoochun eyed the two’s entwined hands with a small smirk, following after them to their next class. Yunho replied to his friend with a small chuckle. “Yes, actually.” He felt Jaejoong’s hand tighten around his own due to the other’s uneasiness, but rather than comforting him, Yunho’s heart relished in the touch with fleeting affection. “Come on, Yunho! You kept complaining to me about your old fucking girlfriends. You even said you were staying single from now on too! And guess what? The next day, I see some gorgeous kid—who I don’t even know goes to this school—hanging off of your damn arm! How the hell did you change your mind so quickly?!!” “Well... I guess it’s just like when you met Junsu. I fell in love at first sight.” Jaejoong blushed deeply and hope rose in his chest. Like a drug, it brought him to an outstanding high in that moment, but it just as quickly shattered as recognition fleeted across his mind. Oh. Right. This… this is all just an act. Yunho’s POV It was in the middle of Micky’s continuous questions that I saw this long line of girls marching up to us. The group was not-so surprisingly led by Bae Seulgi, one of my ex-girlfriends. She’s still pretty. Man, I forgot why I dumped her in the first place. “Ummm… Yunho? Are you going out with that… guy?” Oh, yeah. That bitchy attitude of hers. “Yes, I am. Do you have a problem with that, princess?” I could feel Jaejoong’s hands tremble a bit. I said I was going to protect him from all this, and look what’s happening. Everyone keeps on interrogating us. Mind your own fucking damn business!!!! God… I told you popularity sucked. It’s like having a fricken paparazzi following you around. A small scoff came from her curled lips. “I don’t fucking believe you, Yunho. You’re probably just going out with that freak because it’s your excuse for dumping me.” No, it’s because I fucken wanted to, bitch. “Who the hell is your fucken so-called ‘boyfriend’, anyways? I’ve never seen him on campus. He’s not supposed to be here.” I’m surprised that no one recognized Jaejoong. I guess everyone was just too occupied to realize Kim Jaejoong’s sudden disappearance, and the new arrival of “Yunho’s boyfriend”. No one even asked for Jaejoong’s name, anyways. Right now, everyone just referred to him as “Yunho’s boyfriend” or “the boy holding hands with Yunho” and so on and so forth. And though I’d prefer keeping Jaejoong away from the intense publicity, I like having other people pamper him just because he’s going out with me. He’ll have that small moment of fame that appears too regularly in my life. “What? Do you want proof that I’m going out with him or something?” “Yes, actually.” “Oh? And what do you want me to do?” The conversation was briefly interrupted by Jaejoong and his delicate tug on my arm. He signaled me to stoop down a bit, and he put his mouth to my ear. “Yunho… I don’t feel comfortable with this… c-can we just stop? I don’t want to cause any trouble…” The comforting sensation of Jaejoong’s close whispers sent chills down my back. It was definitely one that I would like to feel again sometime soon. I turned my head to his direction, staring mesmerized as his deep obsidian eyes were directed at me. I slightly bent back down again in order to reassure him with my words. “Don’t worry, Jaejoong. Just trust me.” The girls’ brief huddle was soonbroken, and Seulgi spoke up. “Kiss your ‘boyfriend.’” I blinked. Was I hearing this right? “Wait. What did you say?” “I said kiss your damn boyfriend. If you’re going out with him like you said you were, then nothing’s wrong if you kiss a guy, right? Especially if he’s your so-called 'boyfriend.' Or is he?” For once, I thought I could hug that girl. Why? Well, I have a reason to kiss Kim Jaejoong. Speaking of him, I wonder if he has any objections? I glanced momentarily down at him. He was staring at her in shock, and his movements became rigid. He slowly turned to look at me, his eyes pleading me not to follow her request. Oh well. I grabbed Jaejoong’s chin with my free hand, pulling his face closer to mine. My gaze dropped down to his enticing lips, and I was urged to feel its suppleness. I moved my face closer and closer, until I could feel his soft wavering breath on my skin. It was then that I made a move. I brushed my lips against his, urging him to respond with his own. His temporary shock was fading, and I felt his hand slowly let go of mine, winding around my neck. It quickly unwound again, and Jaejoong pushed at my chest softly, reminding me that humans needed a wretched thing called air. Jaejoong’s cheeks were flushed, and his lips were swollen an alluring red. I wanted so much to claim those lips again, but I remembered of the students around us. I smirked at the shocked group of girls standing before us. The entire hall of students, including Micky and Jaejoong, was stunned at what just took place. “Any complaints, ladies?” The group shook their head rapidly, some squealing over the kiss (A/N: Ahahahaha. Future Jaeho fans xD ) while others were unconscious and lying on the floor. I laughed inwardly as Seulgi’s face alternated between colors, taking that moment to grab Jaejoong’s hand again, weaving our fingers together. Jaejoong’s soft smile and faint blush caused me to beam, and we both circumvented the crowd, heading to our next class. A/N: Yes, I'm back. :D Sorry for the long wait. I was busy, and I had no idea what else to write. Ah, the wretchedness of writer's block. Sorry if my writing is a bit bland or more so of the sort. I'm not good with details. I was always more of the person that looked at the big picture. Anywaysss x) Thank you for reading! And enjoy! [: Small Revision: 102007
